110% behind his resurgence, & obviously had the confidence to take the penalty above the likes of Malen or McGinn.

Please don’t do it again.

Looked uncomfortable preparing for the penalty, the rain was blowing into his face and he seemed to have to wait an age to take it. Just leaned back too much, but going for the top corner is a real gamble. If in doubt, hard, low and into the corner.

I just hope the miss doesn't affect his confidence because he has started the season really well in my opinion.

Pictures of him leaving VP on crutches in a boot. Such a shame as he was excellent again today. The big change this season is not getting caught in possession or being shrugged off the ball easily.

After his injury a couple of years ago after looking good in pre-season it would be shit luck to be out a while now.

Was playing really well before he picked up the injury, hope it's nothing serious.

Emi Buendia exits Villa Park on crutches not a good sign for a player whos had a fantastic start to the season. #AVFC

Surprised they let him limp down the track to the tunnel unaided.

I'm guessing metatarsal. Would be really sad he's been great this season and obviously loves it with us.

I reckon the boot is more precaution than anything right now, if it is a broken bone that's very hard to determine for a couple of days after you do it because the swelling holds the break together. I'd expect he'll be sent for a scan in the next couple of days and we'll have an idea of what he's done by about Wednesday or Thursday. From what happened it's really difficult to guess at anything specific.

Thanks Doc.

Not a doc but did spend 2 years studying to be a physio before I decided to go into IT instead.
