I’m actually gutted about this but not just from a footballing perspective. He just seems like a really ace bloke and always tries his heart out and was definitely coming into his own.
How long does a knee ligament injury take to heal? Depending on the severity of the injury, a torn ligament can take anything from 4-10 weeks to heal, longer if surgery is required. It is important not to try and rush back to normal activities too quickly, as this can lead to further damage.

If, as it’s stated an ACL injury (the ligament that goes through the knee)and it’s a complete tear it will be 12 months. It’s repaired by taking ligament from the hamstring and attaching the torn ligament to it. A lot of healing to take place. He might be walking in 3 months, playing football at the highest level… minimum 12 months I’d say.
