Disastrous. Just as we sell AJ to Burnley as well.

What a shit for Emi who was looking great pre-seaon. Fuck. Absolute fuck.

Awful news for EMI but a little bit of me is saying this could be good for us, particularly if we get a better and stronger quality replacement in - Zaniolo possibly.  Even so it’s a real shame

First rule of villa twitter rumours.

If it is a good rumour, it normally bollocks.

If it is a bad rumour, it’s normally true.

Taps the sign.

Feck, he looked our best player in pre-season.

This is a huge blow - looked good in pre-season.

Still had questions to answer, but leaves really short of creativity

I think mid September was the time frame initially given. Haven't seen anything to suggest he's ahead or behing schedule.

It was all going too well. There’s always something that puts a spanner in the works. A significant knee injury means we don’t see him play this season.

He’s definitely done for the vast majority of the season. We might see him right at the end of all goes well.

The wording 'significant' is pretty grim.  Hope it's not Wesley levels.

A Villa player getting an injury early in the season is one thing, but doing an ACL in training 3 days before the season even starts is another level. FFS!
