He's loose in possession, arguing and attempting to fight with opponents. Positively he creates space for other teammates, drew Everton players to him, and he scored a quality goal. Emi delightfully duped two players and banger in the net.

That's Buendía vs. Everton, and sums up what he's all about in general when he's on the pitch. Brings drama, frustration, but also excitement and goals!
Emery didn't trust him at first today, but when EB came on it was his movement, more than anything else, that provided us with extra and at the right time in the game.

Buendía always value for a goal or offensive contribution, he just needs to work on his temperament and possession. Emery harnessing him by not giving him a start today by rotating him.

Converted a great goal today. Made 3 Everton players look like mugs with a 4th giving up knowing what was going to happen! He loves scoring at Goodison!

Was a quality goal.

Was surprised he was taken out of the team today but that's back to him starting the next three.

He's an odd one.

Capable of that kind of goal today. And is combative, which is unusual for a flair player. But all too often coughs up possession and puts us on the back foot.

If Emery thinks there is enough there to work with and just a bit of fine tuning is required, fair enough.

Personally, I'd prob cash in if we were able to get anything close to our money back and go for a number 10/ wide option who can make this side purr.

He has started chipping in with a few key goals recently though. A few more of those + some decent assists between now and the end of the season and I can be persuaded.

I still like him, he's a quality player that has a very nasty habit of giving the ball away. It's more a fine tuning job I hope.

I agree.

He's clearly got tons of potential to get better and more consistent.

Which I don't really see in Bailey, for example.

He's also scored a few goals for us.

THere are plenty players in our squad who need to be improved upon before we got to Buendia.

Gets out muscled too easily, hasn’t got that turn of pace or direction to get away from close contact.
Has other attributes and was a huge improvement on Bailey.

I think he’s ace. He can be frustrating at times I know, but he tries hard and likes to make things happen.

He's a strange one, He must have given the ball away with his first 5 attempts to hold onto or pass the ball that had me huffing, shaking my head and waving my arms about the place. Then he's involved in pretty much everything we do good, some lovely tight interplay, picks out players well with positive quick passing and scores a great goal. He's an enigma.

Odds on he’ll fluff his lines when he’s given a deserved full start next Saturday. Hope I’m proved totally wrong but history suggests a meaningful contribution is followed up by something less grandiose.

I'd have him starting every game ahead of Bailey.
