Emi tends to look better when he has Ings in front of him rather than Watkins. There's a better connection between the 2.

I thought he was much better second galf verus Leeds.
In the first half it was a struggle for him but Emery and the coaching staff half time talk saw his performance improve in the 2nd period.
He helped out defensively and got the decisive second goal.

Not quiet good enough for me, too many times muscled.of the ball and giving it away. I hope we get an upgrade this window. Good option to come off the bench.

He isn't a wide man anyway. Not athletic enough and doesn't protect the ball well enough. I don't think any of our attacking players were helped by the formation in the first half last night.

Buendia was much better in the second half when he dropped in to midfield a lot more. We got a lot more cohesion then going forward with the likes of Luiz, Moreno and Bailey linking up well. Showed good instincts to get the goal but for our record signing we should be seeing a lot more by now.

I like him, but he does give it away a lot. For where we're going we'll want him to be in contention, but not an automatic starter as he practically is now.

The commentators on the feed I was watching made it sound like he had a bit of a strop as he marched straight off down the tunnel.

Talking to Watkins at full time, wasn't he?

There’s some likeable things about him, but not enough of what he tries to do comes off.

Chooses the wrong option too much.  Some good qualities though.

If the times he gave the ball away was him trying 50/50 passes where I could see we'd have been in if it had come off I'd be less annoyed by him but half the time they're 20/80 and even if they worked it wouldn't really open teams up.

It's a well established fact that the very best players always look like they have more time than anyone else on the pitch, Buendia is often at the other end of that where he looks like he's got less time than he should have.

That inside lift position in a 4 doesn't suit him anyway. Tries hard but still not the consistent quality on the ball that you expect from a record signing. Felt a bit sorry for him in the second half as he did get on the ball in good positions but the movement of the front two ahead of him was poor.

I still couldn't really tell you where his best position is. He's a tidy footballer, but has no strength or pace, and gives the ball away far too often. If/when we buy a new wide forward player, I think his spot is the most in danger.

I concur Risso. He grafted today but I  did comment to fellow Villain post match that I feel he’s a weak link.

Still the same questions about him we were asking when he first came in, he's not progressing. His workrate at least buys him time

He links play well at times, he also provides passing options to others but his execution and impact in an attacking sense is just not good enough.
