He's got loads of skill, but is too lightweight and gives the ball away too much. Can't see that ever changing to be honest.

He's a championship level player, unfortunately. Needs to be improved on, his numbers for us are poor

Good at finding space in the opponent’s  half but then carelessly gives the ball away when he gets to the edge of the box

Also too lightweight

We write Vertout off and he ends up on the bench in a WCF….
Early season he was our best player when he got the chance….

Shocking today, would love to see a stat about how many times he gave away the ball today.

How many chances does Buendia need? Totally different players and situations - Veretout was a decent player, in the wrong team at the wrong time. Buendia has been given many chances and has almost never produced any thing

6 goals and 5 assists in 50 appearances isn't good enough

A lot of our play falls over when Buendia gets the ball. His touch, decision making & passing are dreadful. He's got an awful lot of work to do to show he's worth anything like the money we paid for him.

I'm not sure I see any evidence that he's capable of anything better.

Not to absolve Buendia of his faults, but too much of our play is static and obvious, whereas if we have a few players making runs or moving into space occasionally, Buendia would benefit immediately. As it is, I think he tries too hard and ends up trying to force the play which is where he tends to lose it. He's the best forward player we have in my opinion.

I wouldn't call Bernardo Silva lightweight and he's physically almost identical to Emi B (1cm taller). Buendia's problem, apart from not being as skillful as Silva, is he operates in very tight areas that even Messi would struggle to deliver constantly. Ideally he needs to find more space in which to play and thread balls through. I'm not concerned about his goal record but his assists need to dramatically improve.

Hahaha...true RCF. Emi is most creative player we have and one of best apart from obvious greats likes Bernardo. Lightweight is the most commonly used lazy word in football community.

Maybe his number of assists would be higher if we had a half decent striker to put them away. We don't and in fairness Emi isn't giving them much supply, only Ings seems to link up well with him and he's in and out the side, mainly out over those 50 appearances. If only we had a player like Cameron Archer..

He's been here for some time and honest opinion.is that he has looked better coming off the bench than he does when he starts.  He struggles a bit when playing out wide and is far more suited to a more central position.

The Liverpool game gave us what you nearly always get with Emi. Lots of nice touches and quick feet, but with little to no end product. Some of that isn't his fault, with Watkins and Bailey being profligate, but some of it is down to him being muscled off the ball or giving it away.

His execution of the final pass has got to get much better, you can see where he is intending to pass it but so can defenders and he gets intercepted time and again.

His enthusiasm and energy is great, but he tries that killer ball every time and it loses it's element of surprise as a result. He doesn't seem to read the 'feel' of the game at all, when we've not had the ball for a while it might be best to concentrate on keeping the ball rather than trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle
