He’s got a lot of ability but so far we’ve only seen it sporadically and he is one of a number of players who are probably facing a 6 month audition for the new manager.

I like Emi, but recently when he starts he doesn’t impress, I think we may have made a mistake in signing him which along with P Cs form is a big problem, we may have to seriously consider starting nether of them.

We did that against Fulham. That also went shitly.

but in general terms the way peoples views veer from one way or the other is ludicrous.

It's a pity a few of our players can't do a bit of veering when attacking.

I remain unconvinced we couldn't have plucked some kid from the Spannish 2nd division for a goat and a set of tracksuits that would deliver the consistency of his performances.

Yep. Talented, skillful and a piece of piss to knock off the ball.

We've had some pretty shit record signings down the years. Cascarino, Curcic, Collymore, Wesley, this guy. Bent and Downing weren't exactly roaring successes either but i suppose at least we made money on Downing. Lost shitloads on the others and preparing for the same with Buendia.

I am loathe to write him off just yet. He has ability no doubt, we he had failed to get the best out of him and that gets addressed by better coaching and more ruthless team selection and management.
There is quite a list of players then need shipping out and he is no where near the top of that list.

Buendia shouldn't be grouped with those. He's a good player but if we play with a 10 then he has to deliver. Got on loads of ball yesterday but didn't protect possession well enough.

Which has been the same since we signed him.  There is no evidence to suggest that it will get better.

You could say that about any of the team at the moment, they can’t all be replaced. I think its important to see how players including Beundia do over the coming months under Emery

I still rate him.  He was one of our best players against Brentford and one of 16 very poor players against Newcastle.

He consistently lights up the game when he does come off the bench, we just need a coach who can fully harness that talent.  I'm hopeful Emery will be that man.

In these arguments I will always be on the side of talent and Buendia has it.
Some think Ollie and Cash are great, both have plenty of energy show commitment  but lack real footballing ability.
They can do a job where’s i believe Buendia can turn a game but we have seen precious little of it.
I would like to see him get a run in the team with the message perform or fuck off.

Some players need an arm around their shoulder, and others need an arm around their shoulders to hold them still whilst you boot them up the arse
