He's showing himself to be a super little player. When Coutinho regains match fitness we are going to have two of them terrorising teams.

Our most creative player. Where all the good things come
A goal threat and can provide.
He's showing all why he was signed

there was a couple of moments you can see him and Coutinho thinking on the same wavelength. It will come. They need to figure out spacing and positioning. But both are woderful players when surrounded with bodies and can get free or see an opportunity. What we need is our strikers and other players to catch up, especially the former. Up front our movement isn't at all on the same wavelength.

I am warming to Buendia.  He is showing real flashes of excellent play, scored a lovely goal.  He should only get better, which is a massive bonus.

I am glad others are seeing him in the same way as I did at the start of the season. Keep going Emi and at this rate you will nail your place in the Argentina first XI.

Got in the right position to head the ball on a few occasions, including the one that mattered most, not bad for a wee man. Could work on his core strength and be a little powerhouse to aid control but otherwise he's become quite a lively figure of the SG era. Not always in it but shows up for those important moments, reckon his season will get better.

From Birmingham Mail

He scored, made the second-most tackles (4), blocks (2) and carried a goal threat by racking up the most shots (4) and the most touches in the opposition box. It was a star showing yet again, with Buendia also Villa's hardest runner clocking up 10.8km on his GPS vest.

For me MOTM again.  Our best player - I love him

Wasn’t the type of game where he could be creative or have too much time on the ball. But his effort and attitude was spot on and a great header for the goal. Starting to get excited by Buendia

Yes, he's really found his mojo. It happens that players, regardless of their ability, can take time to settle in to a new club.

Hopefully he can kick on in the second half of the season.

Jack who? Emi really looking the part now.

I've just had a look at the two together as interestingly they've had almost exactly the same amount of time on the pitch in the league so far this season:

Grealish

Minutes: 1,242
Goals: 2
Shots: 20
Big chances missed: 6
Assists: 2
Chances created: 36
Dribbles succeeded: 27

Emi

Minutes: 1,234
Goals: 2
Shots: 16
Big chances missed: 1
Assists: 3
Chances created: 30
Dribbles succeeded: 27

So Emi's scored just as many, assisted more, not fluffed as many big chances and has the same number of successful dribbles.  All when he's only really been performing for half of that time on the pitch, cost about  a third what we sold Grealish for and is a year younger.

Based on half a season's worth I know who I think got the better deal.
