I'm really excited to see how he and coutinho link up. Love his attitude too, he cares.

Ive not been a fan but Ive said after the last 4 games ‘that’s the best he’s played for us’ so fair play, its coming together. Some of his decision, making when there isn’t a killer pass, needs attention.

Behave. He was the best player on the pitch by a mile yesterday. A Man U mate of mine (watches every game for the first team and u23s, home and away) was texting me about how impressed he was with Buendia.

He's been guilty of that for sure.
But not yesterday.
Ramsay and Coutinho get the headlines but Buendia was a class act and if that's the shape of things to come then we're in for something very special from him.

Improvement now he’s at full fitness is clear to see. It’s Leon Bailey that might struggle for a place in the team with Buendia playing well and Coutinho here.

Agreed, was one of the better players in a poor first half and played well second half. JJ may have got MotM but it was Buendia for me.

Both played really well. Bundia played really well throughout.

Just a 5 minute patch in the 2nd half when he gave possession away about 3 or 4 times on the trot!
But, getting better every game and playing some beautiful stuff!

Going right up through the gears now. The thing I like is he's only got one thought in his head and that's to get forward. Starting to look a genuine quality player - how do the Argentinians produce so many great players and they travel so well.

He's been getting gradually better since Gerrard arrived. He's going to revel playing with Coutinho because everyone is I think. The last couple of games against Utd Emi2 has been the best player for me. It's gone from flashes to really started to influence games more consistently. Yesterday was his best match as far as ball retention too. But if we get the foundations in the midfield right with a quality holding player, we can afford our mercurial players giving it away in the final third. It's a bigger issue when McGinn/Doug/Sanson give it away deeper (as we saw in the second goal. With attackers you usually account for the fact some things may not come off.

He's now looking like a 30 million player, and pulling off things that look like we may even make some money on him if he was sold in 2-3 years.

Also he's standing up to physical challenges a lot more.
AND...quite surprisingly, because these types of player almost never are, he looks useful in the air. His movement in the box is great. Last 3-4 games he's been getting headed chances from set pieces and crosses and he's coming close.
Really like him now and hope he keeps going in the right direction.

I’ve just watched a highlights clip on Twitter and some of his range of passing yesterday was just incredible. His vision is something else, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player for Villa with this range of well timed passes. He’s a joy to watch.

I don’t mind if one goes astray when this is happening, we just need to capitalise on this and start making the most of him.

Yep, there was one second half where he was on the edge of the 18 yard box with Man Utd defenders mesmerised by him and he then picked almost a reverse pass to Digne (I think) in acres of space on the left.

It was like witchcraft.

If he continues to develop I can see him being just as important as Grealish was, but with the added bonus that we're not utterly reliant on him.

So much of it is confidence and self belief. I don’t think we’ve seen anything close to his best yet.
