I wish we'd added the money spent on Buendia to the derisory bid for Smith-Rowe.

You wanted us to pay £60m for Smith Rowe?!

Buendia's young and he's had very little time to settle.  If he does, he'll be great.  If he doesn't, we should get close to our money back for him.

Smith Rowe may be worth £60m in the future, who knows, but it's way off the mark for a player who'd played 22 games for Arsenal at the time we put our bid in.

Admittedly haven't seen much to convince me but am prepared to give him time,

Id have snapped their hands off at 60m

On what my eyes have seen, I'd have been happier to spend £60m on Smith Rowe than the best part of £40m on Buendia.

I can't recall any complaints when his signing was announced. A lot of mirth at mugging off Arsenal wasn't it?

He's had issues with fitness, he went to Argentina and had to quarantine, he's joined us to play for a manager who has since had the boot. He's been played as a 10 and right wing, and now he's got a new manager to start again with.
Hardly a settled start - let's not write him off yet.

I def think there is a player in there - and it could be a special one.  We know he can do it, and he just needs a bit of luck and a few good performances.

Think he'll benefit from playing in a team with confidence and is playing well

I think it’s unfair for people to keep saying don’t write him off to people who are just saying what they are seeing
I’m not writing him off at all , I see some good things and some not so good things in every game

My biggest problem with him is he looks a bit slow in speed and also slow in thought for the premiership
Now as others have said that might well change with more experience but at the moment that’s what I’m seeing
I’m not writing him off but right now he’s not the £35 million player we were hoping for

He’s got quick feet, but he’s quite small, easily knocked off the ball and he’s not especially fast. I hope he makes it, but I think he’s too easy to play against. I’ve far more confidence in Bailey coming good.

Buendia will come good.  I say that because he's a very good footballer.
