I think Buendia adjusting to things being the record signing can take its toll. So both this and the system as well as trying hard.
He's also been away on international and then in Croatia. I think we have yet to see the best of him though his lovely strike for goal against Newcastle a glimpse.
Once settled in I like to think he be wonders in this team
I've always found him an exciting player when seeing him seasons past.

As he played for Narrrich I don't think he ever registered on my radar until this season.  No player is definetely going to click immediately, and the record transfer fee is more of a reflection of the state of the modern game as opposed to him being the greatest player Villa have ever signed.  He was identified early and that bodes well for his abilities, he was, in no way, a panic buy and time and patience is sometimes required, see also Targett.

I get the impression that he’s been doubted at his new club every time he’s moved and has proved the doubters wrong. It’s still far too early to make any assessment of his capabilities.

Providing he's not played out of position I have no worries with him. I'd rather see Ramsey play as the central attacking midfielder plus we have Chuk to bring off the bench.

It looks like he was signed to (Lord forgive me for mentioning formations, and Lord spare me from reading about formations) play in a 4-3-3. He's a bit of a fifth wheel in three-at-the-back.

Edit: I know he doesn't play at the back!

Yep.  I’m not anti three at the back but it makes two of the biggest signings in our history periferal to the strategy rather than integral. The same could be said for Traore and El Ghazi.

Think we'll go back to 4-3-3 from mid October so he'll be starting again before too long.

We have so many attacking options when they're all fit it's ridiculous. Just think back to March and April when Wes and Davis were the sole attacking options off the bench, miles away from that paucity now.

AEG, Buendia and Traore all likely options to bring off the bench on the hour mark tomorrow if we can defend well and stay in the game despite Mike Dean's best efforts. Bailey should be in that list aswell but seemingly can't have everything this season.

Given the continuing injury problems to Sanson, Bailey and TRaore, theres no doubt Emi II will be getting plenty of gametime.
And, anyway, he's a perfect sub at 60 minutes: feisty, tricky and a goalscorer.

He will end up being a great player for us. Sometimes it takes time to settle and so far he's hardly played and trained.

Correct

I agree too, but young Jacob has done so well he has deserved to keep his place ahead of him
