I can't imagine quarantine will be an issue. Either they'll grant the same exemption they did last year or the European Club Association en masse will refuse to let their players travel. I expect it'll be the former and we will be missing Buendia, Martinez and Bailey (not on red list so almost certainly playing) for one game in September and one in October. Not great but not the end of the world. If WM Police would get their fingers out and move Villa v Wolves to the Sunday, that might help.

Is the Villa v Wolves move likely?

Is it right they’ve got games in September and October, meaning we miss both for a few games?

Yeah 10 days quarantine.  We should block them from going like other clubs are doing. We are paying them after all bot their national teams

Good plan. Stopping them representing their country is certain to prove motivational and increase their bond with the club.

Liverpool just did it to Salah.

No idea, but can't remember us playing that at the same time as Albion vs Blose so wouldn't be surprised if one of them moved.

Various news places reporting that Man City and Liverpool are refusing to release their players.

We've got Martinez the recognition to become Argentina's No. 1. He'll be mightily pissed off if we try and stop him going.

I imagine that if a few European clubs withhold their players, every club will do it.

It must be shit being an Argentinian football fan - a grand total of two of the national squad play in Argentina. Everyone else plays in Europe!

Only one once we finally sign Julian Alvarez on deadline day (part-ex with Wesley and Keinan sent down to Argentina. They can get a flight to Antarctica some weekend to see the penguins.)

Yeah my thoughts exactly.

This could be a major problem as the season progresses

That would suit me if it happens as I will miss that game as it has already been moved once and I already had tickets for Peaky Blinders at Black Country Museum that evening.

To me this is the sort of game Vs Brentford today that Buendia turns up and has a starring role.
I think a goal is on the cards today.
A screamer at that.
Maybe an assist too.
Exciting player who is now getting his fitness

Scrap the internationals.  They are only just out of tournaments as it is.  What's the point?
