Sorry I totally disagree, he is either not fully fit yet or still carrying an injury but he was anonymous today!
Fuck no. Not sure what you are on about?
I thought I had made it perfectly clear (perhaps Specsavers might help you) and that is why he got subbed!
He certainly wasn't anonymous yesterday: his pressing in the first half and support of Cash in the second were very obvious and noteworthy. I liked the way he went looking for the ball instead of just waiting out on the right.

had a good first 45 mins then faded.   Still do not think he's what we need but I am no Dean Smith.

Saw glimpses of what he can offer, but wasn't great for me. Not sure where he had been asked to play, or if he'd been license to roam wherever he wanted, but a few times Ramsey and Cash seemed to be looking for the option down the line but he was nowhere to be seen.

The formation seemed quite fluid yesterday, which I suppose might be a good thing.

When we had the ball, it almost looked like a 4-1-4-1, with McGinn wider of Buendia at times. When they had the hall it reverted to more of a 4-2-3-1.

I think he will play as a 10, didn’t really get into the game yesterday

It is clear he was bought for his creativity as evidenced with his superb through balls for Watkins at Walsall. His graft and ability to win turnovers is an added bonus.

Once up to speed he will be equally important to the team as rat boy was and hopefully as effective

Not yet fully fit, but he will be a good player for us I'm sure of it.

As for being anonymous? Yeah, no.

Once he's got Ollie pulling defenders away with his runs in behind it will create significant space between the defense/midfield. I'm not worried about Emi at all, just needs to be surrounded by pace and develop the right chemistry.

In time boys!

He did a very nice pass first half to Luiz when he fired over. Was on corner of box and placed it perfectly between two Newcastle players.

Still on the fringes really.

Disappointed so far as thought he would be better.  He just doesn’t look fit enough or strong enough but I’m sure the coaching staff will sort that out as they did with Targett

I'm also not writing him off but based on what I've seen in two games so far there's more than a hint of Jota and Carles Gil about him.

I think that is the type of player we have bought but hopefully with a ceiling closer to David Silva.
I don’t recall a player like that at Villa so it might take us a while to get used to him.

Early days for the wee fella. He’s got plenty of talent and seems quite feisty too. He’ll be more than alright.

He had a 20-25 minute period towards the end of the first half on Saturday where he was dominating the ball and popping up in space all over the pitch, creating a number of openings with really clever passing - it was this that created a lot of the pressure we put on Newcastle towards half time which eventually resulted in the goal.

Doesn't yet look up to speed to produce that 20 minute burst for longer periods - although to be fair, any creative player would only have looked fleetingly good against a Bruce side who were really looking to shut the game down. However I saw enough during that time to see what he'll bring to the side when he's fully integrated.

He's very different to previous occupiers of the #10 in that he's more of a passer, not a dribbler. This will undoubtedly suit Watkins (and hopefully Bailey) who will like to stretch teams from wide areas and create space for him to operate. I do think we're 3-4 weeks away from looking a really well-balanced attacking unit, which we could not say we were last season. If we can continue to pick up results like Sat while we gel this front 6, once we hit our stride Emi will be running the show.

Agree with this - especially the last line

I think he was working too hard on Saturday as he was quite often too far back for my liking.  Maybe he was instructed too or maybe it was an eagerness to impress.  Either way, I was impressed and he will get better.
