I've no idea where Buendia lined up for Norwich, but from the highlights video, he seemed to spend an awful lot of time in central areas, either setting others up or scoring himself. Not much seemed to be him in wide right positions.

I've just looked up the Norwich line-ups for their last 6 games last season and he is down as being on the right of a 4-2-3-1 for all of them. Whether right or wrong though I don't think he's been brought in to play there for us.

Didn’t lots of people post his heat map which showed conclusively that he played almost exclusively on the right cutting in?

Was it a free role - go wherever you fucking want, just keep assisting and scoring ?

Yep, he was another one that didn’t really seem to have been given instructions or didn’t listen to them. I have no idea where he was supposed to be playing. Add Nakamba and the full backs to that, El Ghazi right and Young touching the left touchline early and n the game and all round it was a tactical mess with no shape. He did change it later in the half with El Ghazi left and Young helping in the middle but the others were still all over the place.

As a footballer Buendia shapes up and reminds me a bit of Joe Cole. Hopefully he’ll be like the one that played for Chelsea rather than for us, i’m sure he’ll be fine when he settles,

The throughballs to Ollie in the Walsall game say number 10 to me.

We need players who can do that and also play quick one-twos round the area, and pass and move because that's how you get through teams that sit deep. Sideways across the back four, then hoof, and pinpoint crosses straight to the opposition centre backs' heads ain't going to cut it.

Even more concerned after watching that. A few runs against Championship opposition, and mainly deflected goals.
Cantwell looked good.

After just one game a player that was universally welcomed and made everyone excited is being questioned and criticized. Good grief.

he didn't look fit enough - but Bailey and Traore were also not fully fit so I think all of them would have struggled to play for an hour.

He shouldn't be criticised for playing as badly as he did yesterday? Good grief.

The whole team played badly. And how about he was played in a position or system that didn’t maximize what he does? Or that he played in that position which might not where he ultimately plays when other players come in settle. You called it as terrible a debut as you will see. So melodramatic.

I know. Also have a look at the Bailey thread. One game and everyone praising him to the max. It's ridiculous.
