I really want him to succeed, but if someone is calling him better that carrying the ball than Jack I think they have an axe to grind.

This is Buendias big chance. He scored 1 goal last time out in the premier league and he knows he can do better.

I agree we should enjoy having both (and hopefully more) but it’s a worthless statistic. It bears no relation to where the dribbles take place or how far the balls are carried.

Buendia’s great strength is threading a pass. I hope to see a lot of that this year. Living in Norwich I’ve seen him play a lot, and the crucial link will be him and Watkins.

Leeds it was!

This is the goal - https://www.facebook.com/avfcofficial/videos/879702059159424/

I thought it was from further out but still a worldy!!

Wasn't that the same match where Merson got his face broke in the buildup to the 3rd goal?

Yes. Wifey was with him in her capacity as the hottest St John’s ambulance volunteer of all time.

The more I see of him, the more the transfer fee seems a snip.

He was £35m...not £3.5m. Let's see if he can do it on a wet Tuesday night in Moss Side etc.

7 assists though, in the worst team in the division. We could have probably signed him for near on Barkley's loan fee last summer, ifs/buts etc.... Buendia's stats last season were insane so it does seem as if he has kicked on a lot since. Bailey/Buendia/Grealish trio behind Watkins is easily top 4 standard strong.

In 2019/2020 Buendia was statistically the Premier League's second most creative player after
Kevin De Bruyne. And that was in a struggling Norwich side.

4th highest amount of chances created wasnt it? Jack was second that season.

Buendia is a creative genius. Whatever the stats are saying clearly he's a very talented player and exciting to put him alongside Watkins and Bailey

Anyone know why he wasn't in the squad today, along with a few others?

He had a goal and an assist in his last match against Stoke. We should be good.

Plus we haven't played in Moss Side since 2002 so it's not something I'm overly concerned about.
