And for those wondering about set pieces and things well Emi and Ashley Young have been bought to improve that.

Norwich fans were saying that set pieces are the one thing that Buendia is actually pretty shit at.

Well he takes all the free kicks and corners and he's both footed so I think he's a viable option.

I just cannot wait to see Emi playing for us.  For me this is the most exciting signing we've made for a good few years.  He's straight in my FPL team, although I'm a bit worried about jinxing him (which is daft because of course that isn't a real thing)

A must have! He's as effective than AEG Grealish and McGinn combined !
https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/july/The-Numbers-Emiliano-Buend-a/

Because of the tempo he plays at and how good and fast he is at progressive ball carrying I actually think hes even more stand out than Grealish. And his numbers back that up. Not only that but the attacking energy that he plays with both feet and drives with the ball shooting from distance will be a player who can bring further excitement and joy to our play.

My only worry is how he'll compliment Grealish as he could outshine him but hoping they work in harmony. Jack will have to get use to sharing the responsibility but this is what happens in a quality team and it's good for the team as a whole .
Certainly with their ability combined Watkins could get 30 goals . Heck Davies could get 20!

From the villa website the hard facts
Buendia created 122 chances for his team-mates in total, at least 37 more than any other player in the division, with 16 of those converted to ensure he topped the Championship’s assists charts for 2020/21.

Buendía’s numbers were just as impressive in the Premier League one season previously, when he created the fourth-most chances in the league (83) and recorded seven assists for a side that ended up finishing bottom of the table.

That year, the Argentinian continued his form from his first season in English football, when he created 91 chances (third-most) and recorded 12 assists (joint second-most).

Buendía completed 102 successful dribbles in the Premier League, with only four players recording more (Adama Traoré, Wilfried Zaha and Allan Saint-Maximin).

During the 2019/20 Premier League season, Emi Buendía was the only player with 60+ chances created, 60+ take-ons completed and 60+ tackles made:

◉ 101 take-ons completed
◉ 83 chances created
◉ 82 tackles made

This guy is going to take us to the next level!

That's what they said about Tonev 😉

I said it about Emi Martinez and I'll say it about emi Buendia we've got a absolute class player on our hands and like Martinez will be one of the stand out players in his position if not the best !!
What an exciting time it is!

It is a good point about Emi and Jack. Will they both want to ball-hog? Hope they don't get in each other's way....then Ash Young comes on as a sub, says "I ruled Villa Park before either of you upstarts" and dictates play for the last 15 minutes. Villa will go on to score a league-high number of late goals and this time next year we're trying to sign Enrico Chiesa instead of Demerai Gray.

*I'd actually take Gray if Leicester were off-loading him. There's a decent player in there.

Jesus wept Footy!  You're declaring Buendia as better than Grealish before he's even kicked a ball in a Villa shirt?!

Go and have a cold shower and lie down in a darkened room!  ;D

I thought the smily emoji might have helped but it wasn't a sly dig. Just mild disbelief at how excited Footy's getting about a player we haven't even seen in a Villa shirt yet, to the point where he's declaring him better than arguably the best player in our history!!

Buendia’s passing tonight was so good he’d have picked out all those alleged runs into space Scott Hogan made.

I meant Footy.  He’s always popping at Grealish.

Saw his two passes for Ollie last night.

Ball tingling doesn't do them justice.
