So glad he got his chance and also took it. He’s such a fine, tenacious and very brave player. He tries things others wouldn’t ever dream of. His little sliding passes are incredible. I know bit every works but that’s ok. He could be so good for us if we use him right.

Today suited him very well. He's not quick enough to play a wide role, but just behind the two strikers he looks very good. Plus you get decent work rate from him as well. Difficult decision for Gerrard against Liverpool, as I'm sure he'll play Coutinho, but how do you drop Buendia after today's showing?

He has been unfairly dropped IMO.
Glad that he took his chance today and he should be a regular starter next season.

Not only is he turning into a brilliant player, we look a better team with him in it.

Gerrard would be mental to drop him.

No reason why he cannot play with Coutinho. The industry he brings should only benefit the relationship. And they are both incredibly creative

3 goals and 6 assists this season think he's done well considering stop start nature of his career at beginning with covid, injury  and internationals and not always starting with Coutinho coming in.

Best player we have. Ridiculous he’s been on the bench so long. Don’t drop him again.

Watching him on MOTD again, brilliant today. I’ve said this before, but he is a prime example of why players shouldn’t be written off too quickly. I’ve a feeling Bailey might be the same.

Coutinho will be back in for Tuesday's Liverpool love-in. Really harsh on Emi if he's benched.

I’d like to see it, although not on Tuesday when we won’t see a lot of the ball, but have a worry that they’d both keep trying to take up the same positions and cancel each other out.

I've mentioned this before but earlier in the season whilst standing in the slowest food/drink queue in the Witton upper, a bloke remarked that Buendia was the worst player he'd seen in a Villa shirt. The daft twat.

Every Aston Villa goal since Leeds away (7 games) has either been scored or assisted by Ollie Watkins or Emiliano Buendia

Shouldn't be too difficult with one playing on the left and the other on the right.

So we're a two-man team now. An improvement on the last few seasons.
