Blimey Roy looks old.

I suppose that's what being linked with a move back to Sandwell does...

Good match for Jack to have at least half an hour. El Ghazi looking a lot sharper today.

Good start, sloppy middle period and good finish to the half.  Targett and El Ghazi linking up well down our left and Watkins giving us a good option in behind down that side.

Ollie and SJM outstanding so far....Targett and AEG great threat down the left aswell.

Should get at least another in the second half with Jack on, probably need it as we've been slack clearing the ball which cost the goal.

Overall good and main thing is to break the 50 point barrier for first time since 2010.

That Palace right side is where we need to continue to exploit. Bring Jack on for Bert and shift AEG to the right. More goals available.

I reckon his call up has given him a real boost. He’s playing well.

This discussion on the telly about ‘points lost from a winning position’ is such bollocks.
The points are awarded on the result of the game not at different points in the game.

My old man is old school. He has got absolutely no time for pundits who like to play statto, they drive him up the wall. But I must confess I am quite a fan of the odd stat.

Our points lost from winning positions stat was similar last season, and the point I made at the time was that it's easier to coach a team into keeping leads, than it is to coach them into getting them in the first place.

It's never good to hear about 'lost points', but in my mind, it's a sign we're doing something right and it's something to build on.  The teams that never take a lead at all are the ones who should be worrying the most.

Generally a good half. We look like scoring every time we attack (their defence is poor). Our sloppiness let them back in especially Traore's play. Who is their mad-eyed w-nker on the wing? Sky's coverage has been awful 1st half and I have it on mute...klopp advert on 11th min, what was that about? Their graphic re El Ghazi before kick-off whilst having Elmo in shot. Awful coverage of Aston Villa by an awful broadcaster.
Come on the Villa 2nd half! UTV!

Was the 3-2 win against Wimbledon with the famous Dalian goal here or at Plough Lane?
Here

Ta. Just disputing the commentary theory that this is only the second time we've ever scored more than one goal here in the league.

And we lost 4-3 here against Wimbledon in Big Ron's last game

Mrs had Boxty, bacon and eggs ready for half time. She’s a keeper, but not as good as Emi.
