I don’t mind those not being given but you know if it was the other way round it would be.

This is probably one of the most shameful 'refereeing' performances I've seen.

Even accounting for it being against this lot.

FFS. My consolation is that I turned the commentary off at half time.

To be fair, Ollie not been in the match today so, at least Smith has to look at changing his tactics for the next match. Very disappointing display yet again against these toss pots.

This ref is a fucking arsehole, not giving the pen is one thing but a yellow card when there's clearly contact is fucking pathetic, I hope Smith calls the prick out for it.

I'd be in rage against the decisions especially as Smith made a point of bringing it up before the match.

Watkins did look for it - and there was no contact.

From the BBC:

Aston Villa 1-3 Man Utd

Dion Dublin

Former Man Utd and Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think that's a bit harsh. It's one of those where the ref could just let it go.

The contact was clear

They've only shown one replay, but it looked like his foot hit Ollie's thigh to me? It doesn't matter if Ollie is looking for it, contact means penalty, as we've seen with the soft pens we've conceded this season?

Watkins did look for it - and there was no contact.

As I see it, he either gets out of the way to avoid contact and he was impeded.. or he takes 8 metal studs to the knee.

I know what I’d prefer.
