Then there's Newcastle who have gone all in on the Saudi connection. https://twitter.com/NUFC_SSFC/status/1524864268067389440

Shame they don’t put a surgical saw logo on it.

If you're not keen on our kits there's always someone worse off. Thought the Yanited kit this season was a fairly nice, clean design but next season's is honking. https://imgur.com/a/pLVxs4G/

Blimey - 1991 called, they want their shirt back.

Looks like the type of gear you would find in Matalan - cheap, nasty and not at all classy - the Castore badge looks naff
Had a conversation with my partner earlier, I'd "justified" buying this season's Villa kit for my little boys on the basis that next season's kit will be (a) more expensive and (b) lower quality. She asked if it was worth going down the route of acquiring a knock off shirt off the internet, and wondered if it'd likely to be better quality than the official kit. Any ideas?

That’s got to be a wind up, surely? That can’t be true.

Think the sleeves need some sort of edging on

The fact that they've appointed the CEO of Golf Saudi to their board suggests otherwise. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/61433365

The shirt itself isn't bad, it's the Saudi sportswashing connection that's so distasteful.

They are certainly better than these monstrosities - fuck me they are awful

Christ on the flippin' cross.  People have a meltdown when we have a striped home kit every twenty years, imagine the reaction if they ran out looking like Wycombe fucking Wanderers.  And yeah, a Henson-retro effort aimed at all those lamenting the glory days of Paul Kerr and David Norton.
I like the yellow one

I bought home and away shirts for my 7 year old a few months back, along with a couple of others thrown in for good measure (Dortmund home, PSG away). All 4 came with shorts included (no socks though weirdly) and for a couple of dollars more came with names, numbers and appropriate patches.

With the added cost of having stuff delivered to Australia it was great value, cost about AU$100 (GBP57) The PSG and Dortmund stuff was bang on, I honestly couldn't tell them apart from the real thing.

The home kit had a couple of negatives (claret was a bit off, badge a bit different) but for the money and wear it gets it was a steal. All the boy wants to wear is football kits, so will be stocking up once all the new stuff comes up.

Seconded.

Probably a victim of the 'progression' into players all wearing athletic base layers instead.

I don't mind the Castore leaks, plus they always look better when officially released and modelled as fitted etc. Kit designs in general have taken a strange turn in recent years, but then with every passing year I'm that little further away from the 'kids' who are more the target audience.

Quick one on that NUFC leak; surely white as a change option to white/black isn't really the idea (allowed)?

I noticed a few players wearing long sleeves shirts this season. A few Celtic players in particular

I read that Newcastle Saudi kit stuff in the Graun. Reckon it’s bollocks. I think they’ve been duped with that.
