Must be a lot of Davis haters going quiet now?

What’s that about? He’s a very limited footballer who has never scored a PL goal. He offers something different though when he plays. Most people know that. But that we also know he’s limited doesn’t make anyone a hater.

I don't agree at all with that assertion that he's a 'very limited footballer'.

Yay. Forgot what this winning feeling felt like. Nice assist from Traore for Ollie.

Hopefully this last 15 minutes pushes us on for the final 9 games and we get a rousing finish.

I will be the first to put my hand up and say that I have questioned Trez this season - plenty of workrate but the finishing product has often left a lot to be desired.

But I am delighted for him on those 2 goals. 2 very very competent and composed finishes from him. Deserved.

and SCOOORRRRRRRREEEEEEEE!!!!!

Gets a lot of stick, but always seems to pop up when you need something.

Credit where credit's due, but I hope this doesn't paper over the tracks though.  This performance for the large part has been as bad as anything that was served up under Bruce.

Blimey. I only went outside for about 10 minutes after they scored.

The change in formation really worked. The 4-3-3 hasn't been working.

Davis has made a big difference just by roughing their defenders up  a bit, it's created space everywhere.

This last 15 minutes - it feels like there has been a turning point and the confidence has returned. We are looking good for 3 despite not troubling them until 75 minutes or so?

We can score goals without Jack. And it feels like the shackles have come off a bit in the last 15. Great to watch.

Trezeguet thread should be full of humble pie tonight, won’t hold breathe.

His cameo today has been undeniably brilliant.  But does it make up for 9 months of nothing?  Do the goals AEG and Traore got earlier make up for the last 8-10 games of them being cack?

Yep. Just as it would be unfair to judge a player on one bad performance, the same goes for one good one.

Agree entirely, but Trez always struck me as being a confidence player - if you look at the last few games of last season, he was the same. I hope that this performance gives him the confidence he has been somewhat lacking in recently.
