I started watching Spurs at VP in the early 60s, when they had Brown, Mackay, Blanchflower, Greaves, Smith and Jones, we used to get crowds in excess of 60k, there was a 5th round Cup tie at VP, when the attendance was nearly 70k. Just had a look at their fans forum and nobody seems to have a bad word against us, there as here it's almost the exact opposite, which I must admit I find a bit baffling.

Anyway going for, without any confidence, a Villa win, with Ollie getting the winner, hopefully with getting the England call up, he'll be really up for it.

One thing I did like them for was the comedy moment when they joined in the 'We want Lerner Out' chants against them in the relegation season.

Not too optimistic about this one really. But we’ll see. I hate Spurs- got a mate here who supports them. Kind of like only mates cos we are both pommies come on Villa.

My first Villa game was a three nil defeat at home to Manure. My second Villa game a couple of weeks later was a 1-0 win against Spurs. Dennis Mortimer got the winning goal.

He’s called Al. I’ve got him in my phone as Alf Garnett- cos he’s a bit like that. Funny on his day. But those days are few and far between

There is a lot of talent in the Spurs side but Mourinho and the players have had some stick for their poor showings in recent games. I am worried we might face the backlash from them today.

Not beaten Spuds since 2015 and before that 2008 when we did the double over them. (Yes I know we spent a few seasons in the Championship)

Aston Villa have won just one of the past 19 meetings in all competitions, drawing three times and losing 15.

Tottenham have triumphed on their last six visits to Villa Park in all competitions, doing so by an aggregate score of 17-3.

Villa could lose six straight Premier League home games against a particular opponent for only the third occasion.
