Spurs have been beyond diabolical for a few games now, after a decent run.

Absolutely wretched performances. They're here for the taking.

Which is why this has an 'abject Villa performance' written all over it..... Missed opportunity. Spurs are there for the taking and we'll no doubt fuck it up. Villa always seem to give teams on a bad run a helping hand.

Thought our form was poor prior to Jack's injury, especially his last 2 games, and it was a perfect opportunity for the rest of the squad to step up and prove we're not a one man team. Leeds game apart, we've been pretty abysmal to be honest. Defense isn't a concern (especially when Cash returns), but going forward, there is SUCH a lack of quality without Jack in there.

Hope I'm wrong, as we do have the advantage of this being fixtured during our Sunday night 'golden hour' slot. Whilst I'm feeling super pessimistic about this one, I would be on cloud nine to turn these arseholes over. Hate Spurs fans with a passion.

Just play well.... PLEASE Villa! UTV

Spurs always felt like a really big game to me as a kid, when they used to roll up at VP with Hoddle etc. This has stayed with me and still feels like one of the big games of the season. I used to like them as a kid in the early 80s, sense prevailed as I got older and they are one of the clubs I have a real dislike for.
We have no form behind us, they did, but the wheels have come off the last week, they’ll either be a reaction for them or Mourhinio might be sacked.
Jack doesn’t look like he’s back, but he could be and if he says he can play, which Smith seems to be indicating is the key factor, it could give us a huge boost, like Derby two years ago.
An improbable 2-1 villa (Watkins 2).

And I like Chas and Dave...rabbit rabbit

They've won 5 of their last 7 games, we've won 2 out of 7 and failed to beat Sheffield United and Newcastle. I think your confidence is misplaced.

Let's have less sniping about Chas and Dave, consummate and talented musicians as well as brilliant songwriters. Save your ire for wankers like Mumford and Sons.

Anyway, fuck Spurs.

They were diabolical against Arsenal and desperate mid week too. Doesn't matter what they did a few weeks ago, they're in bad form now, without Son, following a mid week European away game that went to extra time. I expect us to beat them.

If you look at the line up Spurs can put out against us it’s difficult to see how we are going to win without Jack.
We have to hope that they don’t like each other and have stopped playing for the manager.

Most of their players actually aren't that much better than what we've got. Would anyone seriously take Dier and Sanchez as CBs ahead of Konsa and Mings.

For all the stick we give El Ghazi he's scored 7 goals this season. Lucas Moura in about 15 more games has 9 goals for the season.

And likes of Sissoko and Hojiberg I find incredibly average midfield players. Certainly if we sign either of them I wouldn't be expecting us to break top 6 anytime soon.

That's over half the team of what will be playing tomorrow and it's largely been reflected in their results over last three months.

We will never be a top team again unless we shake off the feeling we can barely do anything in games Grealish dosen't play so that's something we simply have to improve on next season and winning v this sort of opposition without him would be a major boost.

Reading some of the posts above seems like we need a Paul e (how on earth can you predict us to lose to West Ham away) or John e rousing pre match pep talk (wink).

Since December 12th we've played 18 games and won 7 in the league, Spurs 17 and won 6 so form largely the same for half the season.

This one smacks of the usual ‘good job you’re playing at Villa Park get your season back on track’ games to me.

Every fan thinks when a shit team or a team in poor form plays them that’s where it turns around.

Lets not forget Chas & Fucking Dave either, wash out yer gills and jellied eels are good for yer brain.
I’m feeling contrary so I’ll defend Chas & Dave. Apart from the Spurs abomination and one or two of their more ‘Saturday night variety show’ efforts, their music is pretty genuine. And that’s them playing on the classic ‘I got the...’ by Labi Siffre, which tips the scales massively in their favour.

I love Chas Hodge’s 60s instrumental band The Outlaws

Was a similar scenario when Leicester came to Villa Park. Dumped out of Europe on Thursday but ended up having a comfortable enough win at Villa Park on the Sunday. Spurs aren't great at all but without Jack we are below average I'm afraid.

They have Moura Bale Ali Ndombole Reguilon and Kane. We could not beat Newcastle without Their 3 best players.
So hardly a surprise to think that us without Jack ( 4 wins from 24) May struggle.
