🚨 Aston Villa will see the capacity of Villa Park boosted to more than 50,000 from current levels of 42,000, as part of a plan by Nassef Sawiris to invest around £100m more into the team. However, development is pending local officials moving ahead with expanding rail links.

Could our lads not lend the council/WMCA the money, or instigate some PPP sorcery?

Either way, it doesn't sounds like we're intending to leave B6 (which is very reassuring).

What's the rubbish situation like around Villa Park at the momentm Has it been as badly affected as Balsall Heath and the like? The Villa Chippy struggles to shake-off its rat reputation as it is.

No idea, but terraced houses will probably be more affected.

Didn't notice any abundance of bin bags anywhere. There were a few on the way to The Barton's after the Forest game, so assume they've had a collection since around there.

From the BBC report talking about residents clear ups “ One group in Aston has been clearing land around Villa Park ahead of key matches against PSG and Newcastle in the past week. ”.

Let’s see how Richard Parker pushes this.

Just build it FFS! If we can get in, we’ll get there.

The games before PSG, there was a pile of rubbish on Manor Rd as tall as me, noticably tidier in the last two games.

Exactly. Build it and they will come. More coaches and buses until they get the stations sorted.

This 100%. The Warehouse, if managed properly, will help stagger the crowds arriving and leaving. Maybe expand the shuttle bus services also. Strike while the iron is hot and get us to 50k

I wonder why the Indian wedding venue across the road doesn't open to fans on matchday?

It's not Indian they're usually Muslim weddings. No bar obviously.
