They do, they're mid table in what is effectively the 3rd division. Professionalisation hit them hard because they were probably the biggest side in England that wasn't remotely set up for it.

Agree.
Apparently there was a fair amount of financial irregularities, too. They used to leak money on match day bar takings.

Wasn't there something a bit off about the fire that took part of the old ground as well?

Yes, there certainly was.
There were several stories doing the rounds. There were, obviously, bits added as they got told, but the bottom line was the club was a financial shambles. I know one guy did time in Hewel Grange for his part, don’t know if others did, though.

A few hold outs? They were people in their homes who didn't want to move.

Your traffic idea would also be received positively by the people on the roads mentioned, suddenly facing traffic coming past their house all the time

Not a problem for SuperChris?

Don't you care about Astonian residents ?

Guess from the residents' perspective, if Viila were prepared to offer a sufficient premium over the market value of their property they might be minded to accept and move out.

I wonder if something on the New(new) North will be released this week as per that leaked agenda on the re-design.

“Accept and move out” - like you’re talking about squatters.

I do think they could consider a format more like the Champions League, where you'd always have some of the top teams playing each other and better chances for the likes of Andorra to win the odd game. I appreciate that the Nations League already serves this function to an extent.

A team of UEFA officials are currently doing a 4 day inspection /audit of the ground for the 2028 Euros , so I’m sure everything is on track for it to all be completed by then

🚨🧨 Villa Park is being prepped to host England’s next World Cup qualifier against Andorra in September.

Isn't it moved to Villa Park due to Coldplay doing 10 nights at Wembley in late Aug/early Sept? Thank you, Coldplay!

It would make more sense to put out a Coldplay XI against Andorra.
At least they'd be no injury worries as they've got a physio to Fix You.
I SAID THEY'VE GOT A PHYSIO TO FIX YOU!
Suit yourselves.

Prepped as in closing the Upper Trinity? As England v Andorra will be about as palatable as Villa v Burton Albion circa 2017.

The problem is that there'd be a kit clash as Andorra's away shirt is YELLOW.

I reckon it will sell out. I am curious how many away fans turn up though.

Of course it will (maybe apart from away fans as you say). Will STH and members get first dibs do we know?

I’d love to take the kids to an England game. Not really bothered about myself but it would be nice for us to see a few of our lads in the team.
