I wonder if they could do something clever with the area in the roof to utilise some more space for the Witton lane .  They have that media space up there surprised it hasnt been used for corporate . amazing view

Bugger to get to at the moment. It was a corrugated ladder at the top end of the gantries and I think some journo/broadcaster came a cropper the one year climbing up/ down. So unless they spend loads adding better access there is no way fans of any description will be allowed up there, let alone the flashgitz.

Yes they would have to be creative , and probably need some pluming too   :D.  I saw a commentator do a utube Video up there it was a pretty big space and amazing view

The gantry was put in place for Euro 96 initially so needed the space for all the extra reporters etc.

I just read something on FB and I am not sure if it is old news but it is saying we are trying to go up to £50k again by end of this year - it mentions the Gig venue as well.

I saw that too, I think someone just keeps posting the cancelled North Stand plans as if it’s still on.

Will all these gigs stop when the council funded Bluecoat Blunderdome is open at Wheels?

If I was a few multi-billionaires who owned the Villa I’d be doing everything I could to destroy the business case for the Blunderdome.

First they'd need to see the business case to see what has to be destroyed. Something that's a lot more than speculative with an added government funded tunnel.

Apologies if this has already been posted but the BM are running an article quoting the current mayor of the WMCA. It says that something with the catchy name The Event Day Travel Working Group has been set up to look at all aspects of matchday travel at Villa Park with the aim of sorting out the current crap the supporters have to deal with. It's going to address all aspects of road and rail including the upgrade of Witton Station in time for the 2028 Euros. Might be interesting to keep an eye on this.
