Barry is our record PL appreance holder and it will be years before anyone passes him. I wouldn't have chosen him because of THAT interview but I can see why he's in. Mellberg also played loads of games and was massively popular. It needed to have some players that people under 35 would have seen play for us.

It's got a nice pulp fiction vibe. Ever so gaudy and lurid (look at how Shawsy is crouched). I dig it.

Just not worth it.  But yeah, I reckon it's the 5-1.

What then?  What did they win?

2001 Intertoto. But that isn't why they are there, more for stuff like PWS states.

Who would you have included for anyone under the age of say, 50 to identify with?

If "winning something" is the criterion then I guess it's only really Grealish, McGinn or Mings that would fit the bill as plausible alternatives.

I like it.

Reminds me of that portrait Christmas card we sent out in 87/88, with the players all painted disproportionately sized, it was ridiculous.

Who else from the last 25 years is more deserving? Gabby, who took the piss massively, Hutton as a cult hero instead of Mellberg, a player that was massively unpopular during the bomb squad era and achieved even less. Petrov maybe but that would be more sentimental. I think it's right there's no current player in as well.
