Big opportunity to cement our European credentials at a ground where we've been pretty abject the last few seasons.  They are full of heart but lack quality and I think we should have enough.

2-0 Villa.  Watkins and El Ghazi.

I never noticed that.  I may not post again so it doesn't ruin it.  Oh bugger!

Please, please, please can we break the rule whereby we follow up a good win with a crap performance and/or result? Other than the first few games, we've done the following:

Beat Leicester followed by defeat to Leeds.
Beat Arsenal, followed by defeat to Brighton.
Beat Arsenal, draw with Burnley
Beat Newcastle, defeat to Burnley
Beat Southampton, loss to West Ham
Beat Arsenal, draw with Brighton

Sheffield United don't appear to have a lot up front though, so I'd hope to see more attacking intent from us. 0-2 Villa, El Ghazi and Watkins.

Might be the right game to give Sanson his first start, maybe with Ramsey stepping out or even Traore. Watched Sheff Utds game yesterday, they really were dreadful. No matter the opposition, a win without Grealish and likely Martinez would be a very good evenings work.

Wilder declared for relegation last night after their defeat to Liverpool. Let's see them off with a funeral-ing.

In a strange season of shocks, don't forget Sheffield United beat Man United 2-1 at Old Trafford recently.....

I think they had some sense of hope then....but last night they really didn't. McBurnie (who they spent nearly 20m on!) missed a big chance at 1-0 but that aside they hardly troubled a rookie CB pairing and ended up making Adrian look competent in goal. Liverpool coming into the game in poor form too but they never looked like making a game of it.

As an aside, Wilder is getting a very easy ride in the media. He likes to paint a picture of them being paupers but he has spent huge money last summer on two complete flops (Brewster and Ramsdale). Before then he has bought a series of flops up front McBurnie, Mousset, Robinson...so much so he is back relying on likes of McGoldrick and Sharp.

With three games in a week maybe it's time to start a bit of rotation, giving Traore and/or McGinn etc a rest. It would stop a bit of complacency and bring out the fight on a more constant basis. Making them all aware that there's competition for places and an off day will ensure a sit on the bench!

We need to follow up here. Rock bottom they might be, they can still be a thorn and a pain to play against.

Burnley have only scored 18 goals in 26 matches, 3 of them were against us!! The blades have only scored 15 goals in 26 games but we can't afford to be complacent again.

With proper application and with all our squad 'chomping on the bit' to get on the pitch we should win this 2-0.  :)

I'd be tempted to perhaps rest Bertie or McGinn as previously stated, Sanson would be an ideal replacement, enough of the cameo appearances.

Other than that we our low block should be a higher block, let's not get cocky now, and put in an efficient dispatching of teams that should be dispatched efficiently.

0-1 again.

Even with injuries (has Martinez been confirmed?) we should be winning this. One of the worst teams in PL history.
