From what I can gather, the hostility is born of the incident where they acted like shithouses and their manager put it right to his credit, it a game that was the definition of a dead rubber after they'd done another Devon Loch impression and we'd sealed the play off spot.

I feel though that they're actually more bothered that we sailed off in 'their' place after they once again committed suicide in one of the single most enjoyable games I've watched that don't involve my team. They've projected all of that pain onto us like we're to blame somehow. And they're a bunch of twats at the best of times, so here we are.

It's great though, can't believe we've got back to being hated for no real reason than being better, so soon. More of this please.

They still seem incredibly bitter about that 1-1 game even though:

(i) it was a completely meaningless game

(ii) the only team that was wronged in any way was Villa, courtesy of Bamford's disgraceful dive

Another weird fanbase. File alongside Wolves, but with a less impressive history.

It's been like that for 30 odd years. Elland Road is absolutely shite.

I'm not sure what's the more embarrassing for them, Bellend Road or Leeds-Bradford Airport which is, by a fucking mile, the worst airport I've ever been to.

As a complete aside, doesn't Leeds-Bradford have the shortest runway of any of the main airports in the country?

Worst airport for me was Moscow in the 1980s, about an 8 hour wait for a connection.
Most unusual must be Barra in the Western Isles of Scotland. Planes land on the beach when the tides out.

As a erstwhile regular user of LBA, it has its advantages; although, admitedly, its recent efforts to expand and upgrade have been atrocious.

Love the reference to Bellend Road.  I was born I'm Yorkshire and supported Halifax Town and hated the Leeds tossers with a passion.  Leeds had a great team but even then their fans were twats.

As an aside my first visit to Villa Park was a Halifax supporter in the 1 - 1 draw when Villa and Fulham went up and Halifax finished third.  I don't think Chris Nicholls was at either club at that point but he was always my favourite player (as a centre half myself)

Now in my 30th year as a Villa fans and suffice to say my opinion of Leeds fans hasn't changed since then

The Bielsa fair play thing needs to be balanced with him having to apologise for employing someone to spy on an opposing teams training session.

& the amount of his players who have been guilty of awful non contact diving ie Bamford multiple times, Ayling earlier this season & Llorente last night....sure there are one or two others to add.

Fair play my arse....tho to be fair to him I doubt he campaigned for that award

Sturdy performance after a terrible few weeks . keep Barkley out of the team and we will flourish, even without Jack.
