Well this isn't a bad fight so far.

Can I ask where you get your boxing news from, Dave? I feel guilty talking about the sport with you and a few other posters who are clearly real boxing fans, but I'm one of the products of what is wrong with the sport. While millions will watch Mayweather fight a squid, I always enjoy a good competitive bout, but I only follow what I hear about, which inevitably is the 5 or 6 big box office fights per year that Sky and BBC dedicate their time to.

Just enjoy what you enjoy Rory and don't worry about it. Football and of course Aston Villa is my main love and I spend hours thinking about them, talking about them and looking up absolutely meaningless trivia about them. Other sports like boxing, cricket and rugby, I know much less about and only watch the big stuff, but so what? Not everybody has to have in depth knowledge or be an expert about everything.

Congratulations tyson you made the country proud. What a absolutely brilliant fight. Wilder is a warrior as he took a absolute pounding but pathetic of him not show sportsmanship at the end.

I was concerned in the 4th. I think if there was ankther 30 seconds in that round wilder would have won it. But the way he came back at obliterated wilder was excellent. Wilder gassed as we all thought. Really stupid tactics to go that heavy. He was obviously going for early knock out. He was trying to take fury out with body shots 1st round but once fury worked him out wilder went back to his normal aiming for right arm and has nothing else.

Im hoping for fury vs whyte next. Wilder for me should be looking at winner of aj-usyk. He could potentially have more of a chance against those.

True enough, thanks Riss.

Possibly the worst ever post-fight quesion from the BT Sport interviewer last night to Fury "is it the best heavyweight fight you've ever seen?"

a few of the rounds the bell saved each fighter.... at times both fighters were quite close to needing one more punch to finish it, but they kept getting too close to the other fighter so didn't have enough room for one more swing.

In a strange way, I think Fury winning last night makes things a bit more interesting.  Usyk aside, the others have now been beaten a few times, which will hopefully mean the shackles are off a bit.

Would like to see Wilder v Whyte as think that could be a very explosive fight.

Oh that would be brilliant.

I guess the question will be, after being knocked out twice by Fury, and aged 35, will Wilder think it's worth the effort to keep fighting and wait for another title shot.

No reason why not, but he seems to be quite a family man and must've made a fair bit from the Fury trilogy, so he could call it a day.

The difference is that it's easy to get news about a Premier League club but sports such as boxing are overlooked. For example, there were two other televised promotions in the UK last night and the one I saw featured an absolute classic. If you weren't up with the news you wouldn't have known they were taking place.

Tried to stay awake and must have fallen asleep minutes before it started. Why can't Americans watch fights in the afternoon so they're on at a sensible time for other countries? Selfish twats.

They obviously just assume you'll still be up waiting for any nocturnal celebrity deaths.

I stayed up to watch the second Canelo/Golovkin fight, and was so tired I tripped over my cat and broke three ribs. I just watch the highlights now.

Aye.  He couldn't get away quick enough from 'Boom Boom' Bunce's daft questions.

The only heavyweight i think from the 90s era that would have stood a chance against fury is lennox lewis. I dont think Tyson would have beaten fury.you saw what happened with tyson when holyfield was dominating him

Would have loved to have seen a lewis on his peak with fury on his peak

I like Bunce but he's not a good interviewer. Far too busy trying to be mates than to ask good questions.
