What's the latest mental airthmetic to finish above Liverpool out of interest?

They're on 40 points with only 14 games left so they don't look likely to get close to 70 points currently.

Alisson + Ozan + Joleon Lescott out of retirement = ?
Based on their current average points per game, them & us will finish dead level on 63pts.

Win the two games in hand and then match their results then we are two points ahead

We won't win our games in hand playing like we currently are.

Don’t matter what other teams do unless we go on a winning run, lose tomorrow and you can close this thread rather than rename it.

And matters not a jot if we don’t win a significant number of games and turn our form around.
Everything else is semantics.

I agree. Looking at the table we have to win. Puts us 'amongst it'. A loss = require snookers

Looking forward to the next 2 with excitement as they are actually some hope with Liverpool poor home form and Man city resting and rotating their team a few days before the cup final.

The results this weekend weren't too bad for us so far and with the game in hand there is possibility mathematically.
And now starting dreaming again of a top 4 .
7 pts off Chelsea with a game in hand and to play them.

Also depending on permutations 7th place can take European spot. So all to play for.
And to finish top half and higher than last season is already looking likely.

Plenty of shock results to come. So who knows.

I know it's a bank holiday weekend but I think you've drunk enough!

Wins against Newcastle and Sheffield Utd and we would be 2 points of 4 th with a game in hand.

I'm sure every team in the league (except man city) could look at games they drew or lost and talk about "what if" scenarios.
It's what we do in the remaining games that count.

Must admit I’m puzzled about this Everton game, why the delay?

According to the boffins at 538 we'll finish 10th on 54 pts. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/
