The sending off or lack of sending off were irrelevant, the game would still have been dominated by just one side.

Fully expected the scabs to somehow fluke an equalizer even with about 5 per cent possession.

Especially when Watkins had another one chalked off.

Bert still possesses that frustrating ability to underhit even simple passes and Jack looked a bit off the pace again to start with.

But not for the first time this season we got stronger as the game wore on.

Oh and another thing. Michael Owen said we misspent a lot of money last summer.

Well tonight of that misspent money last summer we had Mings, Hause, Targett, Luiz, AEG on the pitch, Heaton, Nakamba and Engels on the bench and Wesley still out after Mee assaulted him.

The laziness is unreal from some of these ex players now sitting in the media who have done next to no research at all.

I dont think its possible to see a more dominant performance between 2 teams from the same division.

Thats gonna hurt them.

Did they have a shot? Genuine question.
WBA have become the first Premier League team ever to have 100% of their shots on target in a match.

1 shot 1 on target.

And for those interested, "The total xG in the match for West Bromwich Albion was 0.04. The total xG in the match for Aston Villa was 2.49."

I heard that too, absolutely mind blowing what little research they do. So Ince thinks Grealish dived, Livermore sending off was harsh but Hause was a red card all day. And he wonders why no one will give him a job.

Owen was a great player but a renowned dullard. I remember the Daily Mirror running an article about his first autobiography (first!) in which he kept a diary, including such insightful gems as:

8.30 am - stopped at the corner shop and bought a banana and some lemonade.

To be fair though, he’s upfront about being dull. He’s perfectly honest in admitting he’s never read a book or watched a film...

Special mention for El Ghazi and Traore.  A sort of mini redemption for the Burnley game, not that I personally think they need to be redeemed, as it was one of those days.

Five minutes after the Burnely game I did write on here pointing out El Ghazi, Traore and two others not being good enough. They where among our best tonight only behind Jack. So redeemed for me for the time being. Traore s goal and assist was something to take notice of, shows he can be some player. Still not convinced about AEG against better teams/players.
Really good to watch us today, very good teamperformance.

Not having ago at Watkins as they are so close to be negatable, but i wonder how many of his goals last season would have been bounced if Var was in the Championship?

Who knows, but ultimately it’s the application of the rules that is wrong. They should be goals.

The chances of Sam Allardyce keeping West Brom up are precisely zero. I’m not sure even Jesus would back himself to save them.

Most one-sided derby I can remember since the 5-1 game.  Coming away from the Whorethorns with three points and no broken legs is all you can ask for.
I felt absolutely confident before the match that we would beat them because we are so much better than them. The last time I felt in a similar way was yes the 5-1 game.
