Need to win this.  Only way Burnley are scoring is from a free kick or fuck up. They are a throw back of a team what with the punted free kicks from half way line.

From the BBC

Aston Villa attempted 16 shots in the first half against Burnley, the most by any side without scoring in the opening 45 minutes of a Premier League match since Chelsea had 17 without finding the net v Brighton in September 2019.

This football from Burnley is real dinosaur/dark age stuff. Pitifully bad, hopefully we can slot a couple past pope.

I bet the ball's glad it's got fifteen minutes off. I honestly thought of turning off the fx when they had that free kick on the half way line to see if I could hear Dyche yelling "get it in the mixer".

Not sure why there’s so much negativity on here. We’re clearly the better team, in control of the game and could easily be at least 1-0 up at half time with the chances we’ve had.

Agreed. We have done ok. Woodwork struck 3 times. I do bloody hate these cloggers though.

This has only served to further confirm that I never ever want Dyche near our football club in the future.

I said exactly this to the Mrs. Not sure she knew what I was on about though.

Nakamba giving to many free kicks away
Traore has no product end or otherwise

some changes needed as we need to score first or we’re in trouble

We're the better side here by a country mile. Surprised they've still got 11 players on the pitch.

Hit the woodwork twice, one cleared off the line and a possible handball and a blatant push in the area ignored by both ref and VAR.  Our arse is hanging out waiting to be bitten here.

This has got 1 nil Burnley written all over it. We’ve been ok, haven’t had much luck.

Jay Rod has 0 goals and 0 assists so far this season, hmmm.

we;ve dominated the game hit the woodwork twice. it's only a matter of time before we score. Traore has been better than I expected. He should of hit that big chance first time though. El Gazi looks great aswell.

So unlucky with the two hitting the woodwork.

We can do this, but we’ll have to be so careful at the back. First goal could win it.

He's got a decent left-footed in-swinger..

Looks like a game between a side who have made 4 changes against a bunch of cloggers hoping to nick it 1-0.
