Arsenal Fan TV is hilarious. Some classic comedy of some geezers going beserk as each goal goes in. Nice to see Villa upsetting other fans in the top flight  these days.

I’ve watched a few minutes and it’s absolutely joyous viewing.

“I’m driving down to the fucking ground” is my favourite! To do what exactly?!
Return his library books of course.

A comment in the Guardian:
The pivotal period of this game, you felt, came around an hour in. Arsenal were knocking at the door in search of an equaliser. Crosses came and went. Chances whistled past either post. For a while, it felt like Aston Villa might have to settle in for a long and painful rearguard. At which point, they seemed to come to a crucial realisation. They were better than Arsenal. And so in a rampant, crushing climax, they set about proving it.

We've beaten Arsenal twice in the space of nine games. Bostin.

Compare and contract - tonight and last season's defeat. That's learning on the job.

Just wish we could be all be in the ground to see these performances. Imagine being there when we scored the third. Super

Don't mind this one. I've seen us win three times in about five trips to Emirates (and also a 5-0 defeat) so pretty spoilt there compared to our recent records at other big grounds.

Nice wrap from Mark Chapman after the Arsenal v Villa game on MOTD II this evening.

But still same cringe performance in One Good, One Bad.

Piss off Chappers.

I couldn’t be arsed to watch anymore of it after they’d finished our game analysis. Would have thought they’d have played us out to Saturday Night Fever...obviously not. That too good too bad thing is a load of wank.

Just seen the highlights on MOTD 2.  Thankfully didn't matter in the end, but from the one cursory replay of the 'non-goal' it showed from behind McGinn, it didn't really look like Barkley was in Leno's eyeline.  Looked like he had a decent sight of it.

Compare and contrast with VAR letting Sterling's goal go last season when he essentially dummies in from an offside position.

Watched game with brother-in-law who is an Arsenal fan. Despite storming off as the third went in, I asked him who he thought our best player was on the night. He picked out Douglas although had no clue what his name was. Think a lot of opposition fans will be noticing our Brazilian maestro this season!

Bit of a selective quote there. What it says in the paper:

Quote from: A tearful Garindau journalist
The pivotal period of this game, you felt, came around an hour in. Arsenal were knocking on the door in search of an equaliser. Chances whistled past either post. For a while, it felt like Aston Villa might have to settle in for a long and painful rearguard action. At which point, Dean Smith’s team seemed to come to a crucial collective realisation: they were better than Arsenal. Not better organised, or better drilled, but better in stark and absolute terms. And so in a crushing climax, they set about proving it.
