Targett played well tonight - Cash is the one that has been singled out by the opposition in the last few games.

We beat Woolwich Arsenal and Ian Darke and Andy Townsend.
They were condescending, dismissive, disrespectful and disparaging towards us, viewing the game from an Arsenal point of view. Until the second goal when they started gushing about us as if the game had suddenly turned and we hadn't been in it.
Piss poor.

Harsh on Townsend who speaks well of us.
Agreed. Townsend supports us I think. He knows every detail of our season - ok, it’s his job, but everything he said was spot on.
Not harsh at all. He had a real boner against us tonight.

'Villa could've scored more'
Arsenal 0-3 Aston Villa

Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Huge result for Aston Villa - totally deserving of the victory. 3-0 it was comfortable, it could've been more I was really impressed with their performance. Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley were all excellent but the whole team were superb.

McManaman and Owen are both saying it could have been 5 or 6-0 and that we battered them. Owen has just said that not only would he be picking Grealish for England but he would be building the team around him.

They were complimentary but I didn’t agree with one comment made by Owen. He was very positive about our signings this summer but then went on to say what do we have to show for all the money we spent last summer. I’d remind him that went on the likes of Mings, Targett, Konsa, Luiz and Trez from today’s team. So no at all a waste as he was suggesting. They have all matured into better players for last seasons experience.

Just wish we could be all be in the ground to see these performances. Imagine being there when we scored the third. Super

We are the third side in Premier League history to win each of their first three away games in a season without conceding a goal, after Chelsea in 2005-06 and Manchester City in 2015-16

Also Heaton and Wes had major injuries representing £30 million of the money spent

Agreed John, he was superb.  He makes us tick and when he ventures forward he gives us an extra attacking dimension.

We went down on 17 points - think we'll be ok this time around.
