What's really frustrating here is that they've only had 4 shots on target, we've been done by letting them have easy chances rather than because of the sheer amount of chances.

Why not bring on Hourihane or Davis?

The only players coming out with any credit are Martinez (no chance with any of the goals), grealish and to some extent trez and luis

Watkins is looking like Wesley did last season.  Lack of service/support? Or just not that good?

I would put it down as a bad day at the office for him and the the team in general because Watkins has impressed me so far this season.

Agreed on Watkins. I like him.

The irony of a massive troll banging on about drama

Quite.

I was thinking the same. Another expensive learning on the job signing? nothing sticking up front, just like last season.

The best striker in the world can’t score without the ball. Wesleys’ problems were he was always where the ball wasn’t.

Another save from a Trez effort

I like him. He never gives up. Deserves a goal today.

Watkins looks lightweight and Barkley annonymous. Both very disappointing so far

Wesley shouldn’t just be written off.

Trez could of had a hatrick. Keepers kept Southampton ahead.

Watkins had Benrahma and Mbuemo bombing up with him last season.  Give him the same support and he’s good enough.

Exactly. I can’t believe people giving him stick. He has no support. Like to see him upfront with Davis at Arsenal

because he was isolated and having to drift into deep and wide areas to get the ball, exactly the same as Watkins has for the last couple of games.

Much better second half.

The drama really isn’t necessary, onwards and upwards.

Like I said my point was that Wesley got pelters for similar performances.

I agree. Could be just what Watkins needs.
