We’ve had a bit longer to recover after the last games. I think that will be important if we’re going down the O’Neill road of picking the same team come what may. We’ll be alright I reckon. Tight win 1-2. Martínez to dig us out of the shite.

Who said we are going down the route of picking the same side 'come what may'?
i just did Clampy. That’s what it looks like.

I don't see too much evidence of that. I just saw a manager picked a side who won their previous 4 games on the trot.

and I think he’ll pick it again even though we lost the last one

I hope he does anyway

Even if we had a poor start we would be hoping to get something from this game a 2:0 win Watkins and McGinnis.

We have to attack Southampton. If we sit deep they have too much talent to take advantage. They will play a 4-4-2, so we need to overwhelm their midfield with an attacking 5 and provide good supply to Ollie. Something that has been lacking since Liverpool.

Villa to show the fabled bouncebackability of Iain Dowie's wetttest of wet dreams.  4-2.  Jack (18), Watto(24), Trez(56), and Jack(87).  All good in the hood and Deano to snap up the poisoned chalice that is the Manager of the Month award.

I love drinking.

This has probably been posted elsewhere on here, but my 15 quid PPV fee is going towards this little villan’s cause... might be an option for some of you too, who point blank refuse to succumb to PPV bollocks....

Saints always bloody turn up against us - let’s hope the trend ends today.

We managed to beat Fulham earlier in the season for the first time since the Moon Landings, so there's hope!

I reckon a 1-1 draw though!  John McGinn for us.

Will be a decent test this one as they beat us pretty comprehensively in both games last season.  If I remember correctly from the game at Villa Park, they pushed their full-backs right up which allowed them to crowd the central area of the pitch and dominate us in there.  Hopefully won't be the case today.

I never enjoy playing these lot ,they always seem to play well and no doubt the old Sandwell Town player Long will come on and get his usual goal against us
