Just saw a stat that said Martinez was the oldest player starting for us yesterday at 28.  Just maybe we finally have a plan that is working 🙏

Superb, should have been 9

Thought Carragher was really good with his comments, but Souness calling us a little club before the game - he did not have anything good to say about us.
The same bloke that criticised Grealish, what a miserable piece of shit.

He's a twat, he was still coming out with "he needs to do it every week".

He fucking does, you bitter old twat.

I know they like the abrasive ex-clogger schtick at Sky, but Souness is stealing a living.  How he gets paid to sit there, bent over, face staring into the desk while spouting bollocks is beyond me.

I don't have Sky but I've just listened to some of his 'insight and wisdom'; what a sour old man. Twat.

Don’t think he’ll be there much longer after they had to apologise at the end for his “Latin type players” comments about the Spurs player.

Why do Irish Uncle Fester keep saying 7? The slaphead should be grateful it wasn't 10.

When he keeps saying 7 what he really means is 'Seven to Aston fucking Villa'

Sit up slaphead and take notice. The Villa are back!

Was that our best peformance in modern times ?
I wax lyrical about the 70,s team but can not remember better than that.

I can't think of any better.

3.1 v Man U in 1995 was a great first half and consolidated 2nd so not as good start to finish
7.1 v Wimbledon was great as no-one ever rolled them over but they aren't a patch on this Liverpool team

Too young to remember the 1976 one.

There'll be some very sheepish glory hunters going into work today

According to the Liverpool supporter on my team, we were 'flukey'. (Seven times, evidently.)

I hadn't even mentioned it. Talk about undignified.

I was thinking about that. As an "underdog" game and totally outclassing the "Champions of The World" ... I give you Wembley on Sunday, the 27th March 1994. We were supposed to roll over and die to the all conquering [and they did win the double that year] Ferguson machine.

The 76 to 82 era was a special time down VP but as a complete performance in one game I cannot think of many [if any] to equal that. Even the 5-1 game was one half of glorious football followed by a second half which we controlled rather than dominated. I hope we are building something equally as good and enjoyable as that time, the signs are promising.

Pity it's an advert for a betting company, but attractive nonetheless.

That's so good Dave, funnily enough I thought it was from a Wolves site at first, not Betfair.

As I wrote elsewhere, the seventies team did it almost every week. It's some aim.
