I long for the day when we can look forward to fixtures with genuine optimism, or even expectation, that we should get something from it.

But right now, given this stage of our development, it's a free hit.  Anything we get is a bonus.  I'm going for 1-3.

VCTM and the Blue half of Merseyside looking for a Villa win with debutant Barkley getting the winner........it's ok to dream
More probably 0-2 to the Red Shite :(

Going to be a good test of where we are. While we have two clean sheets so far I haven't been overly convinced of our defensive set up and the midfield cover in front of it. Hoping for a spirited display anyway and I do think we will create chances and score. But I fear the gulf in class on the pitch will also be reflected on the scoreline. Villa 2 Liverpool 4.....Matt Targett to limp off around min 70..

We will win 2.1.  Or a 2.2 draw.

Sounds like they may be without Henderson as well as Thiago Alcantra. Maybe Fabiano will play in DM for them. Bet bloody Manè will be playing though...

Mane out.... that’s brilliant news for us. That frontline is far less threatening without him lurking down the left - A huge thorn in our side in recent times.

Abandon the match and the season. Current placings to apply for 2021-22.

I would’ve thought there’s a chance the game could be called off at this rate.
