I had to go a long way down to dredge this one up. We have discussed General Krulak more recently than Ross Barkley.

What is going with him ? A mysterious injury that has kept him for years (it seems) and now is unavailable due to personal issues !

Will the kid ever play again ?

Currently out with a 'personal issue' according to Emery in the Everton pre-match. Could mean anything.

Quite. Hope fans won't be rushing to condemn him when we don't know the issue. (Not saying that's going on here, just generally).

His deal expires at the end of the season, doesn't it?

Contract expires in 2027. No chance we extend that. Even though he was cheap we need to stop with these crappy deals like this. Doesnt improve us, best days behind, rarely plays and no resale value. Waste of money and wages in my opinion

I don't blame us for signing the player he was at Luton. It just doesn't seem to have worked out, it happens.

I think he's been alright most of the times he has played, he just hasn't been available enough.

Barkley is on 60k a week. Its deals like this that have contributed to our ffp issues with little return for us

And its goals like he got in Germany that helped bag us an extra £8m.

He helped abit but i still think based on what we have got for the money its not been a good use of our tight transfer  budget. Obviously  its dwarf money compared to the amounts  blown on injury prone onana and maatsen that rarely starts a game

It's like he didn't have previous for disappearing at the club.
