Ollie has to hit the target. Poor shot

trying too hard at the moment. needs a goal to settle him down

They have possession against most teams they play. They've done naff all with it. Managing the game well so far.

Not being particularly ruthless with our running from midfield at the moment. A 3rd goal before half time would be fantastic.

Watkins is going to be absolutely superb - already looks like the cf we’ve needed for a long time. A goal tonight and he will be flying.

We look a complete class above this lot.

I love Watkins already.

I don’t like how we are using Ollie. I hate the long ball pumped up to a forward. Does it ever work for us? Outside of when we had Carew?

He has the beating of them in this game playing this way, so we need to be flexible.

But in general it rarely works in the topflight (or any top league) anymore.

Targetts allowed tete so many runs and crosses that he run himself out and injured himself doing it all.

Don’t wish injury on the lad but that’s handy!

Poor old Trez. Loads of running but never even looks close to winning the ball. I’d get him off for the second half and bring Traore on. I’d also take Targett off and, look outside the stadium to see if some passer by has his boots with him!!

Far from the first team to be "targetting" that flank because they know Targett's a weak link.  I'm still a little mystified as to why we bought a RB and not a LB.

Or why we don't try Guilbert there at the very least.

We’ve gone back to giving the ball away by punting it long aimlessly.

That’s a tactic by Martinez to whack up to Ollie. I don’t get it at all. He nodded the ball back to nobody and we gave possession away.

Glad to see that we are all in agreement about Targett. I have been saying he is rubbish to anyone in my orbit who would listen. Not sure why LB has not been a priority this “summer.”
