Win please.

Not surprising no changes

Glad to see Ramsey on the bench.
Wouldve personally started with Traore but atleast its an exciting option to be able to bring on at some point.
-
Trezeguet's on borrowed time as a starter, needs to put in a performance today.
Also didn't realise Fulham have a nipple in goal.
-
No surprises. Bert to come off the bench to get the winner 🤞
-
Starting with Trezeguet instead of Traore? Can't agree with that.
-
Nice to see Ramsey on the bench - he deserves the opportunity. Not convinced at all by McGinn and Hourihane in the same line up but hoping we get 60 mins in and then see Traore come on and do his stuff.
-
Would've liked Traore to start as feels like it will be 60 minutes of Trez just running into the full back and the ball out of play. No El Ghazi on bench is interesting considering he scored the other night. No issue with the other 10.
-
There's something there vaguely approaching strength on the bench. I also wonder at what point this season Ramsey will be in the team ahead of Hourihane.
-
How useful is an areola on a man ?
-
Guilbert don’t even make the squad
-
Fred not in the squad again, I wonder what he’s doing wrong?!?
-
Trez and Hourihane again, hope it pays off..
I hope Traore comes on when Bryan's legs are gone.
-

I hope Traore comes on when Bryan's legs are gone.
There isn't really a viable alternative to Hourihane at the moment though.
-

A challenge to Trez?
Can you justify your place.
-

Yes no AEG is a surprise, or a sign the squad is getting stronger ?!?
-
I think that lineup is fair and right.
We'll see Traore and Davis come on and hopefully Ramsey will get a shot too.
-

With Grealish back in midfield?

Me too. We won the last league game, so I suppose it's fair enough. Trez is better than El Ghazi, and now knows he can't afford any shit games, which is great for us.
-
A better bench. No Taylor or AEG.
-

Any team with a 'Ream' and an areola in it deserves - well ...
-
Would've started with Traore, but at least that's not a bad bench.
-
I hope this means El Ghazi is off
-
We might live to regret voting against the increased number of subs on the bench!
-
We might live to regret voting against the increased number of subs on the bench!
No chance! Not for a couple of years anyway.
-
Would've started with Traore, but at least that's not a bad bench.
I suspect we'll see a direct swap and then Traore will keep his place thereafter.
-
We might live to regret voting against the increased number of subs on the bench!
Was thinking the same thing!
-
I feel strangely confident which can only end one way 🙄
-
We have lost the last five matches at the Cottage so tonight would be a ideal time to change that .I honestly can not remember the last time we won in London, someone said it was at Spuds in 2015 No wonder i can not remember.
-
Nit-picking a little, but would have preferred to see Traore start instead of Trezeguet or Hourihane.
-

With Grealish back in midfield?
Maybe, but a back to form McGinn will be just as good.
-
Nit-picking a little, but would have preferred to see Traore start instead of Trezeguet or Hourihane.
Wouldn’t disagree but what a great option off the bench. Maybe Dean now has the options to change a match If things are not going our way at last
-

Was thinking the same thing!
I don't geddit?
-
Traore as an impact sub will be perfect for him tonight. Given his lack of game time presently, when Fulham are getting tired, he’ll hopefully be able to tie them in knots.
Hopefully. That is.
-
No Guilbert, not even on the bench? Something has gone on behind the scenes. Of course, as usual the fans are kept in the dark. Very strange, I'm afraid Elmo isn't the answer going forward.
-
Engels still injured?
No place for:
Kalinic
Nyland
Taylor
AEG
Fred.
Wonder how many of them will still be at the club at the end of the transfer window?
-

If something has gone on behind the scenes and there is no suggestion that it has, airing it in public should be the last thing the clubs does.

Probably talking about the 'The Mighty Reds YNWA'!!

For whatever reason, and it might be defensive discipline vs attacking ability, oe just experience and leadership, Dean prefers Elmo over Freddie. But I cannot imagine Elmo will be here next season so I can see Freddie and Cash competing long term for the RB/WB position. Freddie has never said he wants to leave so unless the right offer comes in I imagine he will be here this season.
-
It might be something as simple as Elmo being more versatile in that he's played in midfield and central defence.
-

I was thinking that - maybe Freddie & Matty Cash will be vying for the RB spot, and Elmo is in more of a utility role, filling in where needed in central defence, midfield, etc
-
Engels still injured?

Kalinic
Nyland
Taylor
AEG
Fred.

Yep. Dean mentioned about Engels at the press conference. The only injuries were him, Tom and Wes
-
Elmo is also just the epitome of Mr Reliable. A solid pro and while limited, more down to his age he rarely ever lets you down. Not saying Freddie does but Elmo ticks so many boxes. And yes positional versatility is definitely one of them.
-
Nit-picking a little, but would have preferred to see Traore start instead of Trezeguet or Hourihane.
It's the obvious first sub to come in anyway. I don't have much faith in Trez but he'll put in a shift anyway and Traore might not be fully fit yet.
McGinn is the one who needs serious improvement today. If he isnt performing then he needs to be replaced, Smith took the very soft option taking Hourihane off first the last day when McGinn was abysmal.
-
Looking forward to Traore coming on after 60 mins and running at Bryan. If it's still 0-0 by that point, I think that's when we can win the game.
-
Keane ... uurghhhh.
-
Long term it will be Traore but it would have been unfair to drop Trez IMO. While he wasn't impressive vs Sheff Utd he also hasn't deserved to be dropped. It's on Trez to keep the shirt now. He knows there is a very good player just waiting to take over.
-

Any team with a 'Ream' and an areola in it deserves - well ...
Also their number 23 is a bit of a fanny....

There's also some messaging going on to the squad-members: "We're going to bring new players in and it's up to you to earn the right to be in the starting XI", and - to the incomers: "We may have paid a load of dosh for you but you need to prove your right to start."
-
Here we go. C'mon Villa!!!!!
-
Local match for me and bit of a pisser that can't land in so the Cedar Tree bar nearby will have to suffice.
That new stand with views of the Thames will be a bit special when it's finished.
Something to look at when we invariably lose.
-
Got to assume Traore still working up to full fitness, he only managed 70 mins in the procession against Bristol City. If he's not 100% match fit, I'd rather see him come on for the last 30 mins against a tiring defence, than start and be blowing out of his arse in an hour...
-
Fulham obviously been told to get stuck in early.
Very attacking set-up.
-
yessssssss Jack
-
Grealiiiiiiiish
-
Great goal!!
-
GETTT INNNN!!!!!
-
Come on Villa, get a second and these lot will crumble.
-
Beauty !!!!
-
makes it look easy!
-
Could have been 2.....
-
Excellent early goal! GTFI!!!
-
Wallop.
-
Great goal, nice pass from McGinn
-
Great ball in from SJM.
-
That's what an in-form McGinn can do - Jack doesn't need to create, so can make some clever runs from the 10 position - love it!!
-
Have that! Lovely goal.
-
Wow. I only went outside for a couple of minutes. Great stuff!
-
Alan Smith can fuck off
-
Gotta nail Cairney: he's their lynchpin.
-
Things can only get better for Fulham. He was stood still in the D, Ream.
-
Villa sitting very deep when defending - hope thats not the plan
-
Hou flatfooted and ball creeped past. Could been danger. His biggest flaw is that he is just standing still and too slow to move
-
Stupid foul from Targett.
-
Yellow for that?
-
Get Targett off now!!
-
Still think Targett's slow and shit.
-
Either Mings or Dean Smith dishing out the bollckings to Targett there by the sounds of it.
-
Targett is a liability. Doesn’t track or close down his man. Clueless
-
Targett really does need to learn a bit of timing and balance - getting booked so early just does not help the team in any way, and Fulham are already getting down their right.
-
Any one else hear Tyrone bollock Targett??
-
Crosses coming in far too easy
-
We've really not looked good in possession though, we look like we're inviting pressure.
-
Jeez we need a decent left back
-
Getting too many crosses into our box
-
Wallop
-
its all coming down the right from fulham I was glad target clattered him tbh
-
All the Fulham attacks are coming down the left.
-
Get in !!!!!!
-
Hot liiiiiiips!!!!
-
GTFI
-
Targett and Cash need to be tighter on the wingers
-
Fabulous move!
-
Fantastico!!
-
2-0 me Villa babbies!
-
Great move that, really good passing.
-
McGinn didn't mean it? Piss off Smith.
-
Great start, we look dangerous every time we get near the Fulham goal.
-
Not sure what the commentary was on about there, McGinn absolutely meant to set that up.
-
We’ve got McGinn back!!
-
beautiful move
-
Two lovely, superb goals. What a player Grealish is. If he keeps up his development, he might be fit to lace Mount's boots one day.
-
So often we look static with throw-ins, so DELIGHTED to see that goal come from Watkins running in behind - brilliant from Jack again!
-
We've got McGinn, Super John McGinn, and I really am as thick as shit!
-
what a lovely little lay off from SJM
-
Trez and Hourihane again, hope it pays off..
I hope Traore comes on when Bryan's legs are gone.
There isn't really a viable alternative to Hourihane at the moment though.
I'm not complaining!!
McGinn's having a great game in the final third today, too.
-
Where's southgate when you need him ??!!
Grealish is having one of those games
-
Scott Parker’s ‘jacket jumper’ 🤣🤣
-
Watkins' movement is already making so much difference, and that was some cracking buildup. Really enjoying this!
-
Up to 5th in the table you say? With a game in hand? Oh, I say!
-
Difficult to criticise when he’s just scored , but those free kicks need to be way better. That’s why he’s in the team !
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
-
Mings out of position there ... momentarily looked like Fulham could have hurt us.
-
If we get fewer than 8 now I'll be very disappointed.
-
We are great going forward but Targett is our weak link by a country mile. Time and again his formless face is evident as he’s constantly caught out of position.
-
Two assists in barely ten minutes for Super John. He's back!
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
Can you nip out for milk next?
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
No offence Lee, but can you fuck off to the kitchen again another two or three times?!
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
Can you nip out for milk next?
If he misses the rest of it we may score 6
-
Last time we went 2-0 up so early in a Prem game was 2011 apparently. Arsenal away, probably the Darren Bent game?
-
These have one ball from the right wing back. Need to cut it out.
-
Fuck me.... has Targett stopped ONE cross coming in yet? Might as well be playing with ten men. Rest of team playing well, but he is absolutely fucking useless!?
-
Two assists from McGinn. Nice.
-
I'd rather Mings was picking up Mitrovic, rather thn Konsa.
-
we do look good going forward but blimey, we are shaky at LB and RB - far too many crosses allowed in, one will come off eventually.
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
Can you nip out for milk next?
Off out to referee in a bit.
-
Tried to get out of the way from McGinn? The why did he run at him...
-
I'd rather Mings was picking up Mitrovic, rather thn Konsa.
Yep he’s got the beating of Ezri at the moment
-
Targett has got to be the worst full back i have ever seen defensively. He doesn't even pretend to stop the cross. He ambles out, gets to about 2 meters from the attacker and watches him cross it in. It might not be tonight but he will cost us this season.
-
Blimey! Missed another one for a trip to the loo.
No offence Lee, but can you fuck off to the kitchen again another two or three times?!
Let's hope this is going to be my new Sunderland.
-
Odoi constantly fouling jack again I see
-
Need to stop this playing out from the back. A bit of pressing and it's easy to lose it.
-
Fuck should be 3
-
Watkins - should have been 3!!
-
Oooooo should have Been three. Jacks playing superb.
-
Magnificent from Jack there. Going nowhere on the touchline to running at the middle of their defence in seconds.
-
Wouldn't have counted anyway, was a yard offside.
-
He would have been offside?
-
He is unplayable.
-
Calf trouble for jack ?
-
Grealish brilliant run. But started with another sloppy pass by Targett - he needs to go
-
Calf trouble for jack ?
Looks alright - moving OK now - think it was more impact from Odoi trying to cripple him. As usual.
-
We need to be a lot better in the middle. Very careless. It’s ok against Fulham. Against a top side or better players we will get killed.
-
Worryingly, the commentators seem to think this is a done deal.
They managed to score 3 in the last game ... long way to go yet.
-
Fucking careless Jack
-
Fecking appalling from Jack
-
No defender moved to help Jack there.
-
Still a stupid ball to play.
-
Great ball from Cash; less so from Trez.
-
I really like Watkins. In fact, I really like the team.
-
3 zip before half time. Phuck the phuckers.
-
I really like Watkins. In fact, I really like the team.
Working hard on scraps
-
Trez....is he playing?
-
We need to find a way to hang onto the ball. Can’t rely on Fulham cocking it up all night.
-
I don’t like how we are using Ollie. I hate the long ball pumped up to a forward. Does it ever work for us? Outside of when we had Carew?
-
Hourihane defensively is so piss-poor.
-
Ollie has to hit the target. Poor shot
-
Although we’ve sorted our defence out it’s clear we have work to do. 28% possession is not good against Fulham!
-
I don't think Hourihane is doing enough off the ball on this left hand side. Too much room for their midfield and wing back.
-
We need to find a way to hang onto the ball. Can’t rely on Fulham cocking it up all night.
I wouldn't rule it out!
-
Another cross from the right. Targett a spectator yet again.
I’d be fucking fuming if I was Mings! Garbage!
-
Targetts allowed tete so many runs and crosses that he run himself out and injured himself doing it all.
-
Ollie has to hit the target. Poor shot
trying too hard at the moment. needs a goal to settle him down
-
They have possession against most teams they play. They've done naff all with it. Managing the game well so far.
-
Not being particularly ruthless with our running from midfield at the moment. A 3rd goal before half time would be fantastic.
-
Watkins is going to be absolutely superb - already looks like the cf we’ve needed for a long time. A goal tonight and he will be flying.
-
We look a complete class above this lot.
I love Watkins already.
-
I don’t like how we are using Ollie. I hate the long ball pumped up to a forward. Does it ever work for us? Outside of when we had Carew?
He has the beating of them in this game playing this way, so we need to be flexible.
But in general it rarely works in the topflight (or any top league) anymore.
-
Targetts allowed tete so many runs and crosses that he run himself out and injured himself doing it all.
Don’t wish injury on the lad but that’s handy!
-
Poor old Trez. Loads of running but never even looks close to winning the ball. I’d get him off for the second half and bring Traore on. I’d also take Targett off and, look outside the stadium to see if some passer by has his boots with him!!
-
Oh and Scott Parker and his cardigan can fuck right off. Ponce
-
Far from the first team to be "targetting" that flank because they know Targett's a weak link. I'm still a little mystified as to why we bought a RB and not a LB.
-
Far from the first team to be "targetting" that flank because they know Targett's a weak link. I'm still a little mystified as to why we bought a RB and not a LB.
Or why we don't try Guilbert there at the very least.
-
Targett AGAIN!! FFS
-
We’ve gone back to giving the ball away by punting it long aimlessly.
-
That’s a tactic by Martinez to whack up to Ollie. I don’t get it at all. He nodded the ball back to nobody and we gave possession away.
-
Glad to see that we are all in agreement about Targett. I have been saying he is rubbish to anyone in my orbit who would listen. Not sure why LB has not been a priority this “summer.”
-
We look a complete class above this lot.
I love Watkins already.
He’s like gabby only with a footballing brain and the ability to score a fair few.
-
If we don’t come away with 3pts from this, it’s coming from the one weak link in this side.
What’s Stan Staunton doing these days...FFS!
-
Lovely spin by mcGInn then
-
Talking of weak links - poor pass from Trezeguet wastes a really good breakaway
-
Getting sloppy now
-

Best LB we have in the squad 😉
-
Does Targett know he's meant to be blocking those crosses?
Awful player.
-
McGinniesta!
Looking lively on the break.
-
Matt Targett at best is a squad full back. No more than a back up. We have to improve that position desperately
-
Come on Jack you have a team around you now!
-
Odoi really is a tw*t.
-
Far too many sloppy passes. We are 2-0 up and just need to get hold of the ball and calmy slow it down till HT. We are gifting them opportunities
-
Odoi is a twat
-
Hah what a slick roulette from McGinn.
-
Trez - gotta feel a bit of sympathy for him: tries hard!!
-
Holy fuck how did Ollie miss?
-
Watkins should have scored. Good position to head a goal
-
Trez even looks a lot better. Him, Wes and AEG will definitely benefit for having extra bodies.
-
Watkins again - trying too hard!!
-
that's a sitter missed
-
Staunton - like Targett - lacked pace. But he made up for it in his reading of the game.
Targett is shite at that and even one of his perceived strengths - namely his distribution - has gone to pot.
-
Fuck off Bryan you ******
-
Targetts face annoys me even before he steps on the field, he looks knackered after 5 minutes, teams know he’s our weakness and it fucks me off.
Does Alan Wright fancy a knock?
-
Watkins again - trying too hard!!
Just said exactly the same. He needs to relax.
-
Watkins will come good. Always in the right position. Love it!
-
How the fuck was that a foul by watkins ffs
-
Nasty tackle by Bryan there.
-
Watkins is more physical than I realised
-
I'd be amazed if Odoi lasts the game - nasty little tw*t
-
Scott Parker looks like he just found poop in his morning cornflakes
-
Great effort so far. Need to kill this off though.
-
Targetts face annoys me even before he steps on the field, he looks knackered after 5 minutes, teams know he’s our weakness and it fucks me off.
He looks utterly gormless.
There is a degree of natural talent there. But no football brain to speak of.
-
A very satisfactory half and we could have had more than two.
-
I’d say LB is our #1 priority over any other position at the moment. Watkins, Davies, Traore can cope up front till Jan.... that defence will get torn a new one against better opponents if Smith persists with him at LB
-
I'd be amazed if Odoi lasts the game - nasty little tw*t
How he has not been booked heaven knows
-
Watkins needs to make the chances count. Getting in great positions though.
-
I like the look of Watkins. He gives us a completely different dimension, one that we have lacked for some time. If he keeps going the goals will come.
-

Yes, he's a bit shit.
-
A bit sloppy a couple of times , but we should put these to the sword, Fulham’s tracking back is terrible
-
Staunton - like Targett - lacked pace. But he made up for it in his reading of the game.
Targett is shite at that and even one of his perceived strengths - namely his distribution - has gone to pot.
I'm struggling to find many similarities between Staunton and Targett
-
I hope we get this over the line and that twat Cairney gets sent off. I still remember his interview after the playoff final, "this is a victory for football". C*nt.
-
Oh and Scott Parker and his cardigan can fuck right off. Ponce
Hahahaha very good.
-
Scott Parker looks like he just found poop in his morning cornflakes
And that is the reason why I stopped eating cornflakes as a kid
-
SJM, Jack, Douglas, Conor.. all playing well. I'm really pleased with Matty Cash, his future is certainly promising.
I've got to say though.. the opposition has to account for Ollie no matter where we're at on the pitch, with or without the ball. Dean is right in saying he is a willing runner. Over the top, through the middle, off the defenders shoulder.. he works his socks off and always put himself in a good position. I hope he bags one today.
-
How do we keep allowing them to cross so easily into our box?
We’re great going forward though. Two lovely goals
Oli looking good
-
2-0 lead is always dangerous. Need to keep them quiet early in the second half.
-
Sorry to add to the Targett pile on but he looks a weak link.
-
"They're all pointing! Pointing!!" - classic from Keane.
-
Dropped off so missed the first half. Nice goals.
-

Agreed.... effort, pace and ability. Deserves a goal or two today. Chasing everything (and catching most of it!)
-
"They're all pointing! Pointing!!" - classic from Keane.
Love the way he says "Conor" like "Connagh"
-
"They're all pointing! Pointing!!" - classic from Keane.
“Villa look like Bayern” 😳😳😂😂
-
Shout out for Konsa - looking very solid an assured, even against the beast that is Mitrovic.
-
Good first half. Now for 5 a side. Wearing the Diadora ntl: shirt tonight...
-
Two tidy goals apart, a very scrappy game. Dougie not at his June/July performance levels new season to date.
-
I like the look of Watkins. He gives us a completely different dimension, one that we have lacked for some time. If he keeps going the goals will come.
I think he's great. Creates a load of chances for himself. Really top notch striker.
-
So far, so good. Best we’ve seen from McGinn in what, nine months? He’s been excellent.
-
A special mention for Alan Smith's commentating skills. Some totally inane comments topped off by his take on Joe Bryan's assault on SJM. "it looked a good tackle to me" The ref promptly books Bryan for clattering McGinn. What a tool Alan Smith is.
-
Excellent first 45. Watkins needs to calm down, the goals will come.
No replacement LB on the bench is an issue because Targett is a headless chicken. He's the weakest link in this team by miles.
-
Ollie looks a bit tight. Trying to force it. Needs to relax.
Obviously wants to get off the mark in the PL.
-

I’ve got a cheeky 17/1 on Bryan getting his marching orders tonight. Dirty, snivelling little shite! 😉
-
This is nice.
-
Disappointed we are only 2 up to be honest, Watkins in particular has been sloppy with a number of openings and that header he missed was a sitter. Looks a real lively physical threat though.
Couple of misplaced cross field passes aside Jack has been different class. It's like the championship all over again. Running past defenders like they aren't even there. McGinn with two assists on a very welcome return to form. Hourihane does what he does best, goals. Even Trez is doing well.
Targett has been poor but it's the right side of our defence that's been worrying. Mitrovic has bullied Konsa on a few occasions and Cash has been caught out on a few occasions.
On the evidence on this, Fulham are nailed on for relegation so can't afford not to finish this off. Hopefully early on in the second half. Can't see Fulham finishing with 11 either.
-
Think Cash needs some criticism as well as Targett. Both of them give the opposition overlapping players too much room and time to get their crosses in. Better teams than Fulham will slaughter us if we give them that much room.
-

Hope you get it mate.
-
If we’re not looking for a new LB then we should be. I don’t rate either Taylor or Targett, so get rid of one of them and bring in someone else to balance the back four.
-
Seems like Targett can cross a decent ball on a few occasions. Always looking to score. It’s like there is some kind of split personality. He’s not sure what he is. The Saints fans were not upset he left. He really does look a weakness in our team
-
Need to finish this off early on now. No effing about.
-
Introduce Traore and put them away.
-
Think Cash needs some criticism as well as Targett. Both of them give the opposition overlapping players too much room and time to get their crosses in. Better teams than Fulham will slaughter us if we give them that much room.
I honestly prefer Guilbert. For me he was MOTM against Bristol.

Good so far, but I agree on this point. It happened a lot last season but we let teams cross the ball far too much.
-
Mings
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSZ
-
About fucking time!
-
"Here we go, here we go, here we go..."
-
Tyrone!!!!
-
Staunton - like Targett - lacked pace. But he made up for it in his reading of the game.

-
Get in!
-
Gerrinnnnn! Lots more please.
-
Get in. Fill yer boots lads. Less than 5 will be a disappointment
-
Push on now!!!
-
Get in Mingssss
-
Wallop
-
Any time we decide to give a fuck it feels like we can score at will. Fulham truly are absolutely bollocks
-
They are utterly woeful at the back. Truly bad. All we have to do is not drop any bollocks and we win this 4 or 5.
-
Missing PWS.
-
Little stream did a brain fart and missed that one 😡
-
Missing PWS.
This.
-
4th as it stands
-
Hopefully the Olbiyun, Fulham and Sheff United keep up their good work and the relegation spots are nailed by December.
-
How many fouls is Adoi allowed?!
-
Fucking hell, this is brilliant!
-
Reckon travel ban will be lifted for when we’re in Europe?
-
Hopefully the Olbiyun, Fulham and Sheff United keep up their good work and the relegation spots are nailed by December.
Reckon Burnley are going to be hanging around there most of the season as well.
-
Alan Smith in commentary “ embarrassing to be losing 3-0 to Aston Villa” Cheeky bastard.
-
3-1
-
Still nervous.
And that’s why. Fuck me. Martinez error 3-1
-
We have to get Watkins a goal tonight - that has to be priority number 1 now.
-
6 pointer against Liverpool coming up then!
-
Nothing like a bit of confidence about the team! Great to see.
-
Alan Smith in commentary “ embarrassing to be losing 3-0 to Aston Villa” Cheeky bastard.
Did he really say that?!
-
Or not, VAR deciding
-
Fuck 1-3
-
Shit. Martinez has a mare there.
-
What a crap goal to concede!!!
-
Disallowed
-
Fucking hell Martinez.
-
Not given, lulz.
-
That’s a foul on Konsa
-
Alan Smith in commentary “ embarrassing to be losing 3-0 to Aston Villa” Cheeky bastard.
He's meant to be a Villa fan. So maybe he's over compensating.
-
Hang on.....
-
Is it ok to say, just for one night, we love VAR
-
VAR!!!
-
I love Var
-
Martinez got lucky there!!
-
VAR is wonderful!
-
Hmmm, got out of jail there.
-
Always said VAR was brilliant.
-
Fair enough, looked a foul. Stemmed from a little bit of fancy dan stuff on our right where we lost the ball though.
-
We got a bit lucky there although Konsa may well have got back after Martínez spilled the ball.
-
Bloody hell Jack, we haven't won this yet mate.
-
There’s no way that would have been disallowed without VAR...you have to take the rough with the smooth it seems.
-
Keep your heads lads
-
time to put these mugs to bed. we've had enough chances, need to be clinical
-
McGinn getting wound up there - slid in from Putney.
-
Jesus Christ, got away with one there. Was a foul and a significant one in terms of the build-up there, but Jesus.
-
Nice tackle from McGinn on Bryan. Very nice.
-
Offside - Konsa was on his arse having been fouled and can't be playing him on?
-
Doing our utmost to let them back in here
-
Fucking hell Targett defend!!!
-
Clean sheet is really important for us - to build the traction.
-
We got a bit lucky there although Konsa may well have got back after Martínez spilled the ball.
Justice was seen to be done. No luck involved.
-
Lost our focus. Need to get a grip again.
-
At what point as a Villa fan can you relax? I'm still nervous as all hell.
-
Twat Upson just said you get substituted if you get injured or are not playing particularly well. This guy really has some insightful stuff. Worth his money. The other pollock is telling us about which BA flight is overhead.
-
Mitro close again, over bar
-
Nice tackle from McGinn on Bryan. Very nice.
Yeah i agree. SJM really meant that.
-
We got a bit lucky there although Konsa may well have got back after Martínez spilled the ball.
Justice was seen to be done. No luck involved.
I think the luck was that an absolute howler from the keeper didn't cost us.
-
I haven’t been that impressed with us tonight. Am I being harsh.
-
Fulham look every inch the 2nd division team to me - diagonal lumps int the box hoping the big bloke gets his head on it. We really do need to stop more crosses coming input most of them are diagonal, it's not like they are getting in behind us down the wings. It should be easy to defend at this level.
-
Need energy. Put Traore on.
-
Get Traore on
-
Mitro close again, over bar
Mitrovic is really up for it. His problem is that Konsa and Mings are up that bit higher.
-

True but Konsa may well have stopped Reid getting to the ball if he didn't get fouled.
-
And a-fucking-gain
-
3-0 but they have had 2/3 of possession - its comfortable but christ we cannot let teams have so much possessional control. Better teams would profit
-
At what point as a Villa fan can you relax? I'm still nervous as all hell.
Dunno , never, I think, Risso. We seem to be almost willing them to get a goal back. Get a grip Villa and just take the sting out of the game.
-

Never
-
Cracking cross by Cash again. Jack should have done better
-
Fulham have upped the tempo, closing us down and we’ve lost control of midfield.
-
As if Odoi is still on the pitch. And that was awful from Jack.
-
I’d be getting Davis and Traoré on for Ollie and Trez.
-
Jack good chance passes over bar
-
Another miss. This should really be 5 at least by now.
-
Time to freshen it up
-
At what point as a Villa fan can you relax? I'm still nervous as all hell.
Never is my experience but I was slightly relaxed once when we went into a 4-1 lead against Sunderland at home.
-
Konsa has been very good tonight
-
Time for Bert I think!
-
God , we seem to be trying to take Rope a Dope to new levels. Reid ripping us a new one.
-
I haven’t been that impressed with us tonight. Am I being harsh.
You could say we've done what we needed to whilst still showing room for improvement.
-
Fucking hell Villa. They are peppering us with shots. Get a fucking grip Villa
-
We look a bit rattled which is weird, considering the score.
-
Konsa has done a very professional job on Mitrovic, and Targett has done OK.
-
I feel physically sick.
-
Smith has grown as a manager the last few months, needs to adapt to making subs at the right times now. We need to change this.
-
Mr NS in the house watching his team.
-
Time for Bert I think!
Took me a while to figure out who Bert is
-
This isn’t going to end nil at this rate.
-
Nassef there with his Adidas mask on.
-
We need to get a grip of that asshole Cairney.
-
Bring on the tank and Bertie
-
Need subs to freshen it up
-
At the risk of getting burned at the stake Jacks decision making drives me mad at times.
-
Grealish!! - pull the trigger, man!
-
Shame we didn’t get Bryan he would have been perfect
-
Trez has put a shift in.
-
Konsa is brilliant. Held of Mitrovic there well beyond his years
-
Got to say Konsa has been excellent against Mitrovic tonight, he’s gonna be a star
-
"Konsa really tight on him" - aka Mitrovic holding him!!
-
Jacob is coming on
-
Subs please Dean
-
At the risk of getting burned at the stake Jacks decision making drives me mad at times.
Agreed.
-
Ramsey coming on - nice
-
Ramsey coming on
-
Knockaert's name should always be said in a Mike Reid voice.
-
We have allowed 32 crosses in to box so far according to BBC.
-
Trez has really put in a shift; worked his knacks off.
-
Let’s go, Jacob!
-
I still don’t think we’ve won this!
-
I still don’t think we’ve won this!
Wait until 30 mins after FT i start believing the result
-
At the risk of getting burned at the stake Jacks decision making drives me mad at times.
Someone get the stake! Should have shot that time alright...
-
Targett won a challenge
-
Love to see Ollie get one.
A nonsense pen would do nicely.
-
Cutler’s got a big gob
-
Targett has had a better second half.
-
I reckon Dougie could get a retrospective ban for that kick at Bryan.
-
Bertie on for Trez
-
Traore about time
-
I reckon Dougie could get a retrospective ban for that kick at Bryan.
Daft challenge
-
I reckon Dougie could get a retrospective ban for that kick at Bryan.
Yeah.... didn’t look great
-
Our defenders are just throwing themselves at the ball. Great blocking
-
Impressed with Trez tonight. Worked really hard.
-
Ramsey, another Great Barr product :)
-
Let’s go, Jacob!
It's nice, because 3-0 up for twenty minutes is exactly the scenario that you want to be bringing a 19 year old in to acclimatise to the team.
-
One of Trez's best non scoring games for us.
-
Shout out to Trez..... major shift he’s put in tonight
-
Great shift put in by Trez. Konsa has been imperious.
-
Oooooh Mings close again
-
Let’s go, Jacob!

Get used to it.
-
Lovely little move there. Would have been great if Watkins got the ball to SJM
-
Ooooh that Grealish-Traore link-up.... MORE OF THAT.
-
What a save by Martinez
-
Great evening. It’s fun being a Villa fan at the mo.
-
Great save
-
Keep a clean sheet now Villa
-
Great save
-
In fact is a great thing that save. His last touch a great save , after his lapse earlier.
-
FT A very good win
-
Well done boys
-
Fantastic
-

Haha! I still know which of the two I'd start.
-
you were certainly were good tonight, but i dont think youwill play such a crappy defence as tonights shower of shite showed tonight, the players you have bought this season will improve your standing in the premiership, as for us it already like a long hard season,

I know a couple of Fulham fans and haven’t heard a positive comment since about a week after the Wembley win over Brentford.
