Elmo is also just the epitome of Mr Reliable. A solid pro and while limited, more down to his age he rarely ever lets you down. Not saying Freddie does but Elmo ticks so many boxes. And yes positional versatility is definitely one of them.

Nit-picking a little, but would have preferred to see Traore start instead of Trezeguet or Hourihane.

It's the obvious first sub to come in anyway. I don't have much faith in Trez but he'll put in a shift anyway and Traore might not be fully fit yet.

McGinn is the one who needs serious improvement today. If he isnt performing then he needs to be replaced, Smith took the very soft option taking Hourihane off first the last day when McGinn was abysmal.

Looking forward to Traore coming on after 60 mins and running at Bryan. If it's still 0-0 by that point, I think that's when we can win the game.

Long term it will be Traore but it would have been unfair to drop Trez IMO. While he wasn't impressive vs Sheff Utd he also hasn't deserved to be dropped. It's on Trez to keep the shirt now. He knows there is a very good player just waiting to take over.

Any team with a 'Ream' and an areola in it deserves - well ...
Also their number 23 is a bit of a fanny....

There's also some messaging going on to the squad-members: "We're going to bring new players in and it's up to you to earn the right to be in the starting XI", and -  to the incomers: "We may have paid a load of dosh for you but you need to prove your right to start."

Local match for me and bit of a pisser that can't land in so the Cedar Tree bar nearby will have to suffice.

That new stand with views of the Thames will be a bit special when it's finished.

Something to look at when we invariably lose.

Got to assume Traore still working up to full fitness, he only managed 70 mins in the procession against Bristol City.  If he's not 100% match fit, I'd rather see him come on for the last 30 mins against a tiring defence, than start and be blowing out of his arse in an hour...

Fulham obviously been told to get stuck in early.
Very attacking set-up.
