We are very passive. Nobody in Villa colours taking the game by the scruff at all. Dean needs to be TOUGH at half time, I don't care how nice he wants to be in every every dressing room scenario. This is survival.

Don't be silly, we don't need to do anything more than ensure we keep a clean sheet, West Ham have had 1 meaningful chance and haven't had a shot on target yet, we're doing fine. What we can't do is over-commit forward and get caught on the counter-attack.

Comfortable there. West Ham are very side to side. They're looking for Fredericks, but so far we're defending fine, save one scare with the big punt over the top.

Don't feel we've kept hold of the ball well at all. Targett has given it away cheaply 3 times. Jack and Trez not in it all and I think that isn't helped by Samatta. He's not occupying their centre halves at all.
