2-0 up with 15 minutes to go all singing, 'there's only one Ian Taylor.' 82 minutes 2-3 with them all singing 'there's only one Ian Taylor.'
This is the watershed - a hammering we will not recover from, another tight defeat will maybe keep some confidence. I fear the former.

Baffled why we gave them the whole of the lower Witton that night instead of the usual Upper North for FA cup games as we do now. Was just an open invitation for them to do their pitch invasion after the thirs goal (which the press just ignored). Think that really started our near 20 year inferiority complex against them at VP.Think we also drew them 4 times in the 3rd round of the FA cup in just 6 seasons. Leicester probably had shorter odds when they won the league.
Liverpool could do that because, since football restarted amid the coronavirus pandemic, teams are allowed to use five subs now, instead of three.I don't think there was any need to make a change to the laws of the game there whatsoever, and what it does is give all the top teams with more depth in their squad an extra chance to make that quality count. It is a factor in why the bottom four have picked up so few points since the restart, and it is another problem for Villa in this game too.
Nil. Just fucking nil.Don't get your hopes up, it's just not worth it.
