Ridiculously harsh. And he didn't "fumble" the disallowed goal, it was kicked out of his hands. That's why it was disallowed!

I think he was a little fortunate, he had his hands on top of the ball but didn't have a firm grip.
But I dug him from the moment I saw his mop-top and what I was hoping was a pencil perched on his ear. A real throwback this fella.

Two hands on the ball is a foul.

The fumbled part was before he had his hands on the ball but I've just watched it back and didnt realise the initial shot was from so close, I had it in my head that it was from a cross.

Not that my opinion is anything to write home about, I was predicting Benjamin Siegrist to be our number 1 GK for 15 years and save us a fortune.

I think i am right in saying that at the start of the season Onodi  was regarded as second choice for the youth team  behind Sinisalo  who is very highly regarded and was allowed to go out on loan for the whole season.

I've seen far worse goalkeeping displays like that from our first team keepers, especially a certain Mr Kalinic.

Sinisalo is at Ayr and has apparently been excellent for them. I think both are very highly regarded, last season Sinisalo was with the U23s and Onodi was in the U18s. It's going to be interesting what happens next season, I wouldn't be surprised if we flip it around and Onodi goes out and Sinisalo stays as the U23 starter.

If he did stay as the U23 starter, we could make him number 3 for the seniors and let Heaton get a move to somewhere where he can be first choice.

Ben Chrisene and Lamare Bogarde have signed their first pro-contracts today. Not a bad week for them really!

https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/january/Chrisene-signs-pro-contract/

Mentioned in both press releases that these are 16-17 year olds who have played plenty for the under 23 squad. The new philosophy in action. Good news!

I liked the look of Chrisene, big built for 16 and very comfortable on the ball in tight areas.

Saw him bollock the ref early in the first half aswell for getting a free kick decision wrong. Definately no lack of confidence.

Bogarde was one of the lads we brought in before Brexit closed the loophole of being able to bring in Under 18's from Europe.

Tyreik Wright has joined Walsall on loan for the remainder of the season.
The young forward has been an ever-present for the Aston Villa Under-23 squad during the current campaign, making 11 appearances and scoring twice in Premier League 2.
Wright, who can play on either wing or through the middle, will link up with The Saddlers ahead of their next League Two game against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
Walsall are 11th in the table after 22 games, sitting four points outside of the play-off positions.
Good luck, Tyreik!

Sylla looked more imposing than Bogarde in the FAC game; both look to have potential.

I liked the look of all 3 of the midfielders, would like to see them in a game where we have a bit more possession though so we can see how they handle controlling the game.

Was wondering why Tyriek wasn't involved against Liverpool.
