I know they have ruined my weekends, crushed my spirit, broken my heart. But I really do love this club. I was a kid who grew up and went to school in both Aston and Erdington. I know how much this will be appreciated by the local kids and you know there are children who don’t get noticed. Also my old mate Mark Harrison is overseeing this. He knows the area as well as I do as went to KEGS Aston together. He will play a big part in our future by developing talent. And to think he was and probably still is a nose.

Transport from schools is (or at least was) provided by the club.

Still is unless it's changed in the last few weeks. Still better to have something more central to replace stumps though (on that topic has it actually closed yet).

The building formerly known as Stumps is long gone. Renamed The Academy years ago. Fond memories of playing indoor cricket then 5-a-side football there.

I think the last time I played at Stumps was before the last game of the old Holte End.

I hope they don't stop there and have plans for more academies. I would love for us to become as well known for youth development as clubs like Ajax.

Oh i know, I meant the academy that they'd put there, the land was on the plans for the new store and offices so it'll be knocked down at some point, was just wondering if it might last until this new facility is up or not.

Enjoyed that game - hardly rock n roll for a Friday night watching an FA Youth Cup game streamed on YouTube with no commentary :-)

Was impressed with Kessler and Chukuwumena who have both impressed whenever have seen them play.

Louis Barry is obviously a super talent but in this game he was pretty greedy & wasteful for me, the greedy side is not always a bad thing but at 3-1 he had a couple of chances where squaring it to #9 was pretty nailed on goal but took the more difficult shot on.  Can see him maybe getting a couple of cameos on bench later in season but wouldn’t expect to see him out there until next pre-season.

U23s home to middlesbrough, 1-1 with about 10 minutes to go. Another for Barry.

Interesting to read that we've moved Chrisene into a left back and he's been promoted from the U18's to the U23's in that position.

Kesler and Chukwuemeka being spoken about as 2 expected to break through, as well as Barry.

Philogene-Bidace hasn't signed a contract yet and has been linked with Leipzig.

I'm glad they're trying to find a solution at left back because after Targett the option right down to U16s haven't been great for a few years.

Philogene-Bidace leaving for a tiny development fee would be a blow, he looks a good prospect for me.

They are the most ones who have stood out in the games that other clubs have live streamed before Christmas.  Kessler may well be the main back up to Cash next season if Guilbert is sold & Elmo released in summer.  Wouldn’t be averse to one or two of them getting a bench seat betw now & end of season now we have 9 subs

Hopefully Philogene-Bidace goes onto sign a new contract.
