I'd rather go down losing all games 3-6 and at least we went for it than go down trying to nick a draw.

He ain’t going anywhere. The time to act was post Watford at New Year withJan window and half the season to go. This isn’t hindsight, plenty of us said it then.

Way too late now with 2 games a week. Just hoping that West Ham and Bournemouth are worse than us. Watford and Brighton will be more than clear.

If Allardyce was brought in tomorrow, I don't think anyone - on here or elsewhere - would doubt our chances of survival. The fact that there isn't a collective howl for it to happen is indicative of how problematic an appointment that would be!

You think he'd take us down with one point to make up over eight games?!

I don't think staying up would be guaranteed regardless of who was appointed.

Exactly. Collectively, we look like a busted flush.

My worry isn’t whether this board would sack Dean, because I can’t see that they would. I’d be more worried that they’d consult heavily with the Spanish Richard Madeley to fill the gap and god only knows what he’d suggest.

In the unlikely event of him being appointed it would have to be on the understanding that if he keeps us up he gets a massive bonus and if he doesn't he doesn't but in either case he'd fuck off for all time at the end of the season.

Most clubs normally sack managers when theres' an international break looming. We did it with Sherwood, Di Matteo and Bruce. When there was talk of Dean Smith losing his job in March there was a three week break between games.

Now we're playing pretty much every 3-4 days with limited time for training so I can't see how any new manager would have time to implement their ideas, Big Sam would need another two weeks to organise us on the training ground.

Think the time has passed. One last role of the dice for me is playing two strikers and getting Jack in a free role.

Regarding the last sentence, why we aren't already doing this is beyond me.

Agreed, nothing else is working and I think Davis and Samatta could work well off each other with Jack behind them.  A classic 4-4-2. We must be braver for the Barcodes game. We wont though.

                     Nyland

Guilbert      Engels   Mings     Targett

                      Luiz/Nakamba

Hourihane/Luiz                     McGinn

                   Grealish

               Davis   Samatta

AEG and Tez have had their go and consistently not performed. Luiz plays just not sure where, would prefer him further forward tbh.

Guilbert gives us pace which they do have out wide, other than that they are as pedestrian as we are.  This team gives us a better chance of getting a win imo.
