Enkelman is a harsh inclusion in peoples teams. Judgement is clouded unfortunately by that horror show at The Sty. Overall though he was much better than that. In fact he pretty much kept us in the Premier League one season.
Cascarino. Objectively better than some of the players we’ve had recently. But in the context of the time, worse than useless.

I thought he was going to be great for us but I think he quickly went downhill and seemed a bit crazy.
I know Stainrod was a lazy sod but he did get 20 odd goals in one season, to keep us up. If memory serves. That said, we really had some utter gash.
Isn't the name Paul Mortimer usually rolled out on threads such as this?
Can’t see anyone voting for Warren Aspinall yet, he was dire. Others include Paul Kerr, Dean Glover, Steve Sims, Mark Lillis.

19591967Billy McNeilI could go back to our really dark days but I don't think it's fair to compare players I thought were hopeless in the late 1960s to those in more recent times. In fact I'm only going to list the worst six players I've ever seen in a Villa shirt in the last 40 years:G KiralyB GallacherJ BennettS FosterA TonevR GestedeAll utterly hopeless excuses for footballers. Foster actually had a good career and won England caps until he came to Villa but he was consistently awful for us.
