Didn't Neale Cooper die from an injury sustained in a fall too? Peter Whittingham was a limited player in a limited Villa side but went on to make a lot of appearances for Cardiff if I remember right. Yet another tragic early death for a former Villa player.

My mate messaged me to say he’d fallen down the stairs and was on a life support machine but I hadn’t seen that he’d passed away. Terrible news if true, always liked him as a player.

Saw that earlier.
Really nice lad, when he was an apprentice here he lodged with the parents of someone I knew and gave me some sponsored Adidas Predator football boots which I was chuffed with. He was incredibly shy but it was a long time ago.
No age RIP.
